Cool, I love the lateral thinking, Peacechick. And Tracina, you look positively radiant! That's one of my favourite outfits of yours, ever.

Marley, hope Mr. M is okay!

Parsley - so cool! And you are looking so svelte in your stripes.

Carla -- love that coat on you.

OK, I have the black, the stripes with the blue thrown in.

Just got home after a crazy-stressful day and am trying to beat the sunset(light) in order to take this picture. Jeans - wide flared (super wide!) black Hudson's, blue tee - no clue, Charcoal gray jacket - got at Nordstroms - can't remember brand, Brahmin handbag - Nordies, Black booties - Franko Sarto (Nordies Rack.) The silhouettes of the pants inspired me, as well as the colors of the cover. Did not have much time to think about this - because I didn't plan ahead - so, considering that, I guess it's OK, but it only gets a 6 on my Happiness Scale - will not be wearing this combo again. Here's to a better day tomorrow!

VC, you picked up the monochrome pallette and definitely captured movement.

Mandipa, I *love* that blouse! I love the whole outfit, but the lace strip just steals the show for me.

Carter, that's so neat! And you rock all black!

Astrid, what a wonderful outfit. I love that new scarf.

Suz, you wore Beatle booties! hehe I really like how you combined 3 of the suit colours into one.

Amiable, I think I already commented on your outfit post, but I love your rendition.

Sara, more stripes! That sweater looks really good on you.

Ornella, you look stunning.

MaryK, what a wonderful white skirt! And you paired it with so much cheerfulness. And I love your walking recreation.

Ceit, you look minimalist and marvelous.

Joy, I really like the stripes just peeking out!

TBD, I love that you interpreted the photo while staying true to your bombshell style!

Jewell, go team wear! So neat that you added the tree colour in, and you wear those bold stripes very well.

Sona, way to make a nod to the 70s in a completely modern outfit. Breathtaking!

Bella, you look stunning & definitely look like the 5th long lost Beatles member. And thanks so much for running the challenge!

Hil, I like both tops, but the second looks a bit more polished! I'm really in love with your shoes in the 2nd outfit.

Rae, that bag is a show stealer. And I love your walking pic!

Runcarla, what a fab coat! And those chelsea boots are lovely too.

Parsley, I already commented on your outfit post, but you look so chic.

Tracina, you look so long legged and elegant in your outfit. I especially love the way the contrasting buttons on the shirt pick up on the lightness in the shoes.

Peacechick, how clever! You look very mod: love the geometric shapes and colourblocking.

Deb, what a neat jacket! And I love the matching blues in your outerwear pic.

Marley, I hope Mr. Marley is ok! I'm sorry your outfit make you super happy, but you look wonderful to me!

I am so looking forward to going through everyone's posts later tonight! Here is my contribution: When I wore the outfit on the left for church Sat. night, I thought, "Look no further! This shirt looks like Abbey Road." The only change I made today was to switch out the scarves - the red and gray scarf has an oriental vibe to it that reminded me of Yoko Ono.

Some great ideas (and lots of stripes!) Waving at Suz for same idea! VC Stripe skirt, Anna's JCrew bf jacket, ivory tneck, Munro boots and I added a green bib necklace to mimic the tree line at the top! I honestly planned to wear a drapey black suit (I have baby bootcuts that are as flare as I get), but after more study of the photo I picked the stripes too!

High-five, Jeanne!

And Marley, you look great! Especially considering your day. I hope Mr. M. is okay.

Karie, I wondered when I saw that outfit pic if you would go this route....but I also wondered if you'd be a skirt twin with me.

Mash up between the sky, the trees and the stripes of the crosswalk.

Peacechick, I love the pocket detail on that dress, so adorable!

Here's my take - the thing that stuck out for me when looking at the album cover this time was the flares, so I wore my pair of flared jeans today, along with a little pop art in the sweater on top.

I love how the challenge has turned out, so many great looks--totally modern too!

Day Vies, I love that print! And Laura, your sweater definitely looks Warhol-esque!

Finally got back to post mine for today. I was inspired with the monochrome dressing and the way the Beatles dressed down their suits with open collars, unconventional cuts and color (e.g., an all- denim ensemble instead of a suit), and casual footwear.
I would have worn a black pantsuit if I'd had one. Instead I opted for a long skirt to echo the long, lean looks in the album photo; a black pullover for the monochrome effect, cowboy boots to dress down the long skirt. Skirt (made by me); black wool pullover jewel-neck sweater with a ribbon-like design down the front and small bow at the neck (Lord & Taylor, from the 80s), cowboy boots (from a local boutique), silver dangle-hoop earrings (Marjorie Baer), bracelet with multiple stones in oval silver settings.

Laura, I love your outfit! Those flares look great on you, and the sweater is so fun; I like your semi-tuck with the belt--just perfect.

Day Vies, what a gorgeous outfit on you. That print is stunning. I like your impressionistic interpretation of the album cover image.

Jjsloane and Karie, great use of stripes! Both of your outfits look like "you," while also echoing the Abbey Road album. Karie, I especially like your Yoko Ono-inspired scarf with that outfit.

Marley, you are a master of interpretation, to put that one together so quickly. I like it on you! Your striped bag really makes the outfit, and I like the wide flares on you.

Deb, your outfit is totally fab on you! I love the whole look. Your hair and glasses are looking really fantastic, too.

Adding mine before you all go to bed...west coast late nighter here!

I was inspired by the crosswalk and the 70's menswear vibe.

Ooh, now we're getting really creative! Dresses with a mod vibe (peacechick), flared skirts (deb and firecracker), jumbled suits and stripes (dayvies), elegance but tonal etc (jenava), 70s nod from another continent (Sona's signature hoops), more mod (laura)...

Also detailed: jj's necklace, karie's yoko scarf!

Marley, so sorry about your day but you and Bella are rocking it! (Hope Mr Marley's well?)

Fun to see twins coming out of the closets: brahmin bags and pleione blouses and the striped skirts.

Tracina and E, together with Astrid's, I think I love your outfits as *outfits* even more than the way they rise to the challenge oh-so-awesomely!

And Diana, beyond impressed you could pull this off so literally while travelling!

Hil, that was HILarious and you know I love your pants, yes?

Fab, fab, fab... and way more than four!

You guys are rocking it!!!! Love the inspirations here!! Wondering if I should give this a go and come out of my prolonged uninspirational rut!

So I decided to get off my butt and post my contribution to this before it was too late! There is so much hardwork involved in starting something like this and it would be plain rude of me to not participate when I can!

I was inspired by the crisp suits and the flared legs from the cover photo. Nothing original but this is the best I could come up with! After being under weather for almost 10 days (with the two DSs taking turns with the flu), I think I have lost my ability to think and pose o_O. I wanted to wear a tie, so I pulled out one of DH's tie. I tied a loose knot and wore it inside the shirt. But I was looking ridiculous. So simple suit it is!

Here's mine: Tabby Road.

Loving all the stripes and the creative interpretations!

Oh, I'm late to the party I know (forgot to put up the picties yesterday) but still, wanted to add my outfit, too.

I see some people did the motion pictie (Rae, Mary K) I was also mesmerized by, and you can see my version in nr. 1-2:-). I see a lot of stripes, esp. the tube skirts, and I do have one, too-just wanted to put on a different look, with my 3 yrs. old striped jacked instead. Also loved the retro vibe of the bootcuts, and did my verion with my very new(bought on Saturday) fine pinstripe five pocket ones and shooties(nr.3).

I went also for greys (color of the road)-you can see it in my printed cowl top(nr 4) and eyelinerl(not shown:-)).

BTW love this challende, as Beatles is one of my favourite bands ever.

Neel, glad you decided to go for it! The suit ensemble is hot, love it! Jenava, those pants are perfect.

Goldenpig, lol, tabby road!

Great outfits everyone! I especially liked the action shots ^^ Fun to see all those stripes, as well as a few flares popping up. Joy, Bella, and Jeneva I really loved your suit takes.

Here's my entry, sorry I wasn't able to post it yesterday. I had a stay-at-home day with a lot of cleaning and crafting followed by friends over for MNF, so a very casual outfit was in order. I took inspiration from the horizontal/vertical lines created by the trees and the road, and used that as the base of my outfit though I flipped the coloring vertically. This was so that I could add a graphic scarf to really contrast against the black since the crosswalk is a very strong graphic element in the album cover.

(Please pardon the half-painted nails, I was in the middle of some polish stuff when I took my photos today!)
