Have you ever seen a piece of your clothing on TV, movies, ads (other than the brand) or some other media?
I was surprised last night when I saw the very paisley top I was wearing on a secondary character on a Canadian TV show --I guess they shop at Zellers too!

A couple of years ago I saw my DVF dress on a woman in a TV advertisement. It was a surprise!

I saw one of my blouses on What Not to Wear -- fortunately, on a mannequin illustrating what *to* wear! And I spotted one of my necklaces on an HGTV host.

Conversely, have you ever been compelled to track down an item you see someone wearing on TV? I *still* want Buffy's yummy sushi pajamas:

The spanish Princess Leticia has a lace Mango (MNG) pink dress just like mine!

In the movie "Little Miss Sunshine" the actress Toni Colette wore a skirt I had. I think it was Jones New York.

I am a little bit "famous"with my family for doing this. We'll be watching tv and i am known for calling out either where a particually character got an article of clothing or what song is playing in the background lol. Or when we go out, identifying where girls have been shopping at. XD Hubby just rolls his eyes at me and says i shop too much.

But i don't own all the items i just am aware of what's out there! And i love music. <3

I recognize a lot of J. Crew stuff on TV. Janet, I just did this recently! I saw a blouse that I loved and tried to find a good substitute for a few weeks, and ended up finding the exact same one while I was searching. It should arrive in the mail today. We'll see if it fits/works.

You should order those sushi pajamas or ask for them for Christmas! They are awesome.

Yep - I saw my Wyatt chiffon ruffled tank on Gabrielle Union in the final episode of Flash Forward. She had it in robin's egg blue, not blush pink, though. It was kinda fun to spot it.

Yes, I had a blue-and-white polka-dot top from Ann Taylor and it showed up in an ad or a commercial for deodorant or some such thing. LOL

And I saw the beautiful belt I got in last year's YLF Secret Santa exchange (hi, April!) on "What Not to Wear."

I saw a vince sweater I have on Calista Flockhart, a DVF dress on Kirsten Dunce in a People Mag pick or something, another DVF on that blonde secretary character in Ugly Betty. Every time I felt like HEY! She's copying me

I saw one of my DVF dresses in a car commercial a few years ago. Oh, and Patti Stanger of "Millionaire Matchmaker" wore another one!

Fun thread! In a Seinfeld episode the masseuse Jerry was dating wore my Eddie Bauer rag wool sweater. A couple of years ago a friend sent me a birthday card that pictured two frumpy little old ladies...one of them was wearing my Pendleton 49er jacket.

During the OJ Simpson murder trial, Marcia Clark wore 2 different Ann Taylor suits that I also had. Just recently, I was with my niece when she bought a coat at Anthropologie - the very next week we saw Quinn wearing it on Glee!
