OT- Good luck vibes needed

After 5 years of struggling with what had been diagnosed as asthma a new doctor ordered a spirometry test which shows it's highly unlikely to be!!! He's referring me to a consultant to find out what's causing the tight chest and breathlessness. He says I look too healthy for it to be anything too serious (I guess he's trying to reassure me that it's probably not the big C). So now begins the wait for an appointment (those of you in the UK will understand the wait for an NHS appointment!!!) x

Wow, it took 5 years for them to do a test to confirm/deny the aethsma? Erg. If he doesn't think it's serious, then that is a relief - hopefully you will finally be able to treat this correctly. Sending hugs, good vibes, and healing purrs your way:

Oh, Louise, I'm going to light a little candle for you and hold good thoughts that this additional testing will give you peace of mind. Medical tests can produce a lot of anxiety, but Sveta has given you some good advice to keep your mind active in some other way in the meantime. How crazy, Louise! On the one hand it's great to finally (hopefully) get a correct diagnosis, but on the other hand, what a pain to have things up in the air like this, combined with a sizable wait to see a doc. I hope you get answers soon!

Louise you just hang on in there, if he had thought it was anything as nasty as you fear he would have had an appointment for you within day's.
When my DH had his trouble the NHS really moved themselves.
