Opinions on this coat

Sorry to post too many questions lately, but I received this Esprit coat I ordered last week and I am trying to decide whether to keep it. I was looking for a casual coat and I wanted to try this one after reading Angie's post on false plain coats. I would like to hear you thoughts about the fit. The hood is removable. It is a little loose at the waist, but I don't think I can size down because of chest/shoulder fit.

I really like it! Very cute on you - I am getting the feeling that you look fab in just about everything The only possible fit issue I see is something that shows up more on the back view, where there is just the tiniest bit of bunching above the waist. Does that make the coat too long-waisted for you? I hope others say it doesn't, because that hood feature is so wonderful and can be hard to find. Hoods are so incredibly handy. What is the color (difficult to make out the exact fabric on my screen)?

I think it's nice but not spectacular (and I think you can find a coat that fits you spectacularly.) I agree with Laura that the waist sits a little low on you, and you might also find one that is a little more tailored. Personally I'd pass, assuming that you haven't been looking forever yet, and also knowing that great sales on coats abound.

Antje, I know what you mean - it's definitely not critical and I haven't exhausted my search. I admit I was attracted to the hood feature.

Nice false plain, Marianne! That’s my girl and I love the hood feature. A very casual Euro look. I’m reserving judgment on the low waist inset. The picture is really dark and I don’t feel I can see the fit and aesthetic properly. Care to take another picture?

I really like the fabric! My gut was to say, as the others have mentioned, that it's not an outstanding coat. If you post another picture, I will take another look. The hood is a great feature and looks very nice on you from the back

I like the concept of this coat a lot, and I haven't seen anything similar in stores. I'll try to take a better picture tomorrow. The battery in my camera was dying and I couldn't get enough light.
