Sveta...I hope you're feeling better today. The probiotics are a great help. Also, cut out dairy products until you feel better.

No help here with bra suggestions, I even wear sleep style bras to bed...hate going braless as it's just not comfortable to me.

How about something like this?

I wear something similar at home with my lounge wear. It gives me no shape at all and rather squishes everything down, but I feel pretty secure wearing it. I could definitely go outside wearing one of these. And because they're not made to lift the band isn't tight like with a sports bra.

Hope you feel better soon!

I feel your pain.
I have acid reflux from taking Fossamax. My bras are extremely uncomfortable. I cannot go braless as I even scare myself with the look haha. I had listeria about two years ago from tainted popcorn which a friend and I ate a lot of
She just had to have her gall bladder removed and is having it tested for Listeria as apparently it can settle in there and cause problems. She and I have the same symptoms but I am usually several weeks behind her ugh. I am going to check out some of the recommendations on here from other fabbers for comfort .
I so hope that the gastritis clears up for you really soon and that you feel better :))

Una, this is interesting - I never thought about those.
Tulle but "small and high"...this is the problem. Small they are, high - not anymore When I was in my teens / early 20s I often did not wear bra because but now in my late 40s after 2 kids... they are not the same breasts anymore
Summer, I don't think my bras caused that problem but when I already had it they prolonged the recovery IYKWIM and caused greater discomfort.
dakotacheryl, I did not know that dairy caused digestion issues (unless one is lactose intolerant). I always thought that yogurt and kefir are good for digestion as they contain probiotics.
Astrid, nice suggestion - thanks!
Gail - oh boy, it sounds dreadful! I hope you recover from this soon and without any drastic measures!
I am happy to report that I don't have any symptoms today. I also wore bra to the dance last night for 3 hours and it was fine. Hopefully it is clearing out!
I will continue to take enzimes and probiotics for at least another month to get my digestion stable. It did help me before and looks like it is working now.
Thank you all once more for your support and commiserations. YLF is the best!

Oh Sveta! That sounds awful. I hope you are feeling better soon.

A (wonderful, bless her!) experienced mom gave me a set of Lily Padz nipple covers when I had just had my first child. Life changing. The silicone covers seamlessly cover and obscure nipples so that there is no show through. Honestly, I use them anytime a bra isn't feasible and sometimes when I just want the extra modesty protection (cold room, silky top, padded bra alone isn't going to do it). They last for many, many wearings.

Or these? http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/no.....y-personal...

I used something like those for modesty coverage before discovering the silicone covers, and they provide a little more bounce control. Unfortunately, they are expensive when you consider cost per wear.

Omg. I don't wear jeans and control top for that reason... If I had to add bras to that list... I commiserate!

How awkward, Sveta! We are so accustomed to wearing a bra in public that I for one feel very self conscious without one, even if DH assures me no one could tell.

It sounds like you're taking good, healthy steps to cure the gastriris. Good luck with the temporary bra situation, and I hope you are fully recovered very soon!

Sveta, it's not that dairy causes GI issues...it's just that when you have something like gastritis, the mucous that dairy produces can delay the healing process. Probiotic tablets help much more in these cases....at least that's what my Internist told me when I had a lengthy GI infection. And I am a big milk drinker, in addition to yogurt, so it was not easy for me to give up even though it was temporary .

Great suggestions here, all! Nothing to add, just my best wishes and all simpathy (to you, and all of you who have been there)!
