I agree that with a d'orsay shoe, I tend to need a wide, too, otherwise I get terrible toe cleavage (and generally the sides of my feet don't look ideal in them, either). Lots of toe cleavage is definitely a deal-breaker to me. Honestly, I don't see it as attractive at all (let alone sexy, as I've heard some people say), because it makes a person look like their shoes are ill-fitting. Ill-fitting shoes are neither attractive nor sexy, IMO. But try a wide and see if it solves the issue.
