NYC Travel capsule 2 - need help, bottoms *pic heavy*

What bottoms to choose?

I think the light patched jeans needs tops that are below my hips, which is a bit limiting. + They may become too warm on warmer days, but I don't have any light trousers besides the "tricky trousers" which are super comfy and light, but this year I'll be too consious of the fit at limited items I have to match it with. http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....age-blouse

So I think I'll swap it for a skirt. I'll be packing a charcoal pencil, but the fit is a tad too large. The question is then, should I bring a brown linnen skirt or a denim skirt? Linnen wrinkles and brown may not shout spring + is a bit tummy revealing. Denim is not 100% fit.

#1-12 Linnen, different tops and shoes
#13- Denim , different tops and shoes
#24-31 Light patched jeans, some tops at differnt length

ETA: should I leave the jeans at home?

Denim, hands down. I particularly like the outfits in 14 and 20. It looks great tucked and belted. I also like 22.

Are you planning any shopping in NYC? Maybe a basic dark/mid color denim should be on your list early and then you will have it to wear?
I like your distressed denim though for fit and funkiness.

Do you have dark wash skinnies? They are key to my OTG looks.

I am not psyched about either of the skirts.

- yes, will be shopping, but will not rely on that in the capsule. dark/mid tone denim is one of my wardrobe holes nicely spotted

- yes, have dark skinnies. very comfy, but thought they would not be springly enough

I'd go for the linen skirt and dark skinnies. Comfort is good and with the right tops the wash will look spring-like.

I'd bring either the linen or jean skirt and the dark skinnies.
All the tops look fun. Some of them can use some ironing:)

Hmm.. ok maybe taking the dark skinnies instead.

Zapotee: nope, sorry to say, but I think ironing is waiste of time. None of the tops are really crisp and they will be wrinkled in no time. I may iron the linen skirt, though

ETA: I see that I explained the tops wrongly. What I mean is that most of them are more or less flowy and I don't think they would look considerably better if I ironed them - that includes the shirts. The blue star top #1 is kind of double layered, so that one could be a tad better, but it doesn't bother me

The linen skirt will wrinkle back faster than anything else though.

Ok - it comes down to whether I can live with wrinkles or not

I like the linen skirt best A little extra edge, a little more unexpected... and presumably very comfy? I agree with Suz about adding the comfy skinnies as you can easily look springy with the right tops, topper and other accessories
