FS Rag & Bone Dre 28

I bought these online, final sale, only to discover that not all Dre jeans fit the same way! Asking $99 plus shipping. The colour is "stillwater" and the tags are still attached.

What's the issue with the fit? I'm a 27 or 28 in R&B so interested in these but would like more detail!

I am a consistent size thirty/Gap and J.Crew 8, but had ordered a pair of Dre BFs in 29 that fit really well as BFs--loose in the thigh, needing a belt in the waist. I thought sizing down to a 28 would give me a fit closer to the model I had seen on the R&B site, where the jeans still have a bit of a slouchy look but definitely don't require a belt. On me, however, a 28 ended up being much closer to skinny jeans than BFs, which isn't the look I am going for. I tried a few other models of Dres, and the 28s consistently fit like skinnies. The issue is simply that 28 is too small for me.

I've never tried R&B but I'm usually a 28 or 29 in Gap/JCrew, so they could work for me. Do they (both style and/or brand) typically run small in the thighs? That's where I run into trouble. If not and if Una doesn't want them, I might be interested.

I have a pair shape, with proportionally large thighs. I don't find them to run small, nor did I encounter that as a criticism when reading up on reviews on Shopbop and Nordstrom's, but YMMV.

Edited: I literally just found a pair of Paige skinnies at the Rack that fit me perfectly (pear and petite) so I pounced. I'm going to pass on the R&B in favor of these to fill my jeans need for the fall.
