Ok first time at the rack and here's what I got. Pic 1 is kut from the kloth capris.
There is a pic of regular length and one where I rolled them up. Also a pair of white ones, same style. They are in pic 3, along with a Kut from the Kloth denim jacket. There is no way I can close it over my bust but if I got one that would, it would be enormous on me. (F cup) Is this ok? And what do you think of the lengths of the capris?
Pics 4 and 5 are just a cute little top. I wouldn't wear that bra with it!
Pic 6 is my Kut from the Kloth Diana skinnies in cobalt. Also in pic 7 with a slouchy light summery sweater on top. Thought it might be cute with a bright cami underneath. Or over a sundress.
Pic 8 is a t from the loft and my cobalt skinnies from the loft. Do you like these or the Kloth ones better? I need to hem the Kloth ones.

Pic 10 are some gold sperry top siders. I saw Angie posted something similar on the white skinnies blog post. What do you think? Tied, of course. Too grandma? They feel a little slidey on my heels but the next size down was too tight on my toes. Maybe heel grip pads.

Please give me opinions on what to keep or return! I'm also worried that the capris and pants will stretch and be saggy. Any advice?

Thank you! Also advice on accessories would be great. Not my strong poing at all! lol

You had a successful day at the store! I actually like almost everything. I think I like @2 rolled better. The jacket looks good to me. I don't really like the pants in #8, they are too short. I'm not sure about the Sperry's. I've been looking for some, too, but haven't decided which style I like.

Great haul! The capris look great at the rolled up length. They are really cute on you! My fave is outfit 7. I think the Diana's look much sleeker than the cropped loft cobalt jeans. Top Siders are adorable and perfect for your climate! I'm not crazy about the striped tee in 8/9--I think you should return that and get something more fun.

ETA: I never button my denim jacket. Yours look cheeky and cute as is.

I like the jean jacket on #3. I am not sure if not being able to close it is limiting. I really don't mind, as long as I'm not using it as outerwear.

About the capris #1 - #5. I think the rise is too low for you. Is it almost as if I want to pull them up. I definitely liked the rolled up length better. Are they tight at the waist? I am not sure if it is the picture but I think they are a tad tight which can lead to muffin top issues. I definitely like #3 with the jean jacket, it gives you a nice waist definition.

The color on the raspberry top is really nice on you. I would love to see it paired with a white cardi or cropped denim jacket.

Do you own the cobalt jeans and striped top or are they K/R also?

I can't see the jeans too well as the pic is a tad blurry. They look good as far as I can see.

I like the sperrys and I would wear them myself.

They are actually loose at the waist. Not in front but in back. I think once they stretch I can get the back nipped. Then they won't slide down when I sit.

What does everyone think of the rise?

I'm always going to have some dreaded muffin top. Unless I pull them up under my armpits! Which I can't stand. Hmm. Got to be a happy medium. Any tips Angie?

Yep, I understand , believe me, I have the same EXACT issue. That is why I suggested a longer rise. It does help me a lot!
The important thing is that you like them. I am not an expert, no one here is, with the exception of Angie. As usual, please take my opinion with a grain of salt and I'm sorry if I said anything that ticked you off!!!
Angie will not be too active in the forum this weekend. She is off to Chicago.

Noooo! Not ticked off at all!!! I appreciate it immensely! I would like a higher rise for sure. I just hate to give up on them because they were clearance kut from the kloth for $19! Maybe the nordies tailor can help me adjust them a bit

Below the knee length or should I have them cut to right above?

Hi Alicia,
I really like the denim jacket and the white capris that are rolled up. The longer coblat skinnies are such a great color too! I also like the slouchy sweater in #7.

Arghrrrr.... Great price and the white ones look real good with the jean jacket. I would wear them around the house for a bit. As they expand, I am sometimes able to tuck in my muffinnage LOL by pulling them up a bit.
I definitely like the shorter length but let's see what the others think

Lol. I do the muffin tuck too! Hopefully they will stretch and then the tailor can work some waist magic. Just wondering if I should go right below or right above the knee

Just chiming in late to see your purchases. Looks like you had a good outing at Rack right off the bat.
I am loving your bright color choices! I'm horrible at deciphering rises and fit in jeans and such so will stick with what I know.
Denim jacket - I can rarely button my jackets similar to you so keep that.
Red blouse - keep. You could layer a cardigan or jacket over it too.
Light sweater - very versatile pick! keep
I like the Kut cobalts - and you are going to make into a crop pant? I wasn't clear on that.
Sperry's - I want the same shoe but in pewter or silver. Like !

I'm no expert on fit, but I wanted to thank you for posting #3 - I found it inspirational enough to get out my jean jacket and white capris.

The denim jacket, cobalt jeans, and shoes are my favorites from this haul! I am too over confused on pant fit to even touch the capris issue, lol. The length does look good rolled up, though!

Alicia, how long can you hold onto these items before making a final decision and/or altering? Because my thought is that you could start a new thread on the length issue when Angie gets back from Chicago. She is really helpful on this. So how about you decide which pants to keep after wearing them a bit, and then leave the hemming until late next week?

Denim jacket looks great!

I would return the T in 8/9; it does not do you justice.

Also, forgive me if I am being too forward...have you had a bra fitting and new bra recently? The reason I ask is that the fit of tops can be quite influenced by that and if you are buying up a lot of new things you might want to make sure the girls are getting the lift they need! Angie always advises this as a first step along with hair and glasses (for those who wear them) in a style refresher.

I have 30 days to return. The capris were the only alteration I would make. Length and maybe something with the waist. Looking at pic #1 I see the muffin top for sure! They are stretching out a bit. It's crazy how they can be a little tight in the front yet have a gap at the butt! It's like that with all my pants though. The pink shirt prob isn't the most flattering with these capris. But $19!!! And they fit everywhere else. As good as any other pants of mine.

The cobalt blue ones I'll keep at their length. Maybe a tiny hem at the bottom. The 8 and 9 I can take back to the loft easily.

Yeah, I have bra fittings very often actually. Only at Nordstroms. They carry the big bras and I trust only them. The one I'm wearing needs to be replaced but it's ok for hanging out at home for now. I had to choose between that and a enell sports bra this month. Enell won out!

I think I might prefer the sperry's in silver as well. Weren't on sale but still. If I like them better than it might be worth it.

I tried on NYDJ for the higher rise but didn't really care for them. Maybe it was the ones I tried on but they made my ahem, rear view, look weird.

Yes, I'd love Angie's take and definitely can wait for her.
