No new clothes for a year

Would anyone care to join me as I make a pledge not to buy any new clothes for a year, making the most of the clothes I already have.

Jane, I think it is something I'd love to do at some point, but right now isn't a good time for me because I need an overhaul and plan to shrink. I truly commend you on it.

It's an awesome commitment, and sure would be great for my budget, but honestly, I'm having too much fun with fashion to give up shopping. I will follow your blog, though, as it's interesting and inspiring. And I do want to spend more time "shopping my own closet" as Angie puts it, to look for interesting combos I haven't considered. I actually talked about that with a friend recently; we plan to get together and peek at each other's closets to see if we come up with new ideas for each other's wardrobes.

I love the idea but need to replace clothing that no longer fits this year. I'll follow your blog. Does no new clothing mean no purchases at all or are you allowing for second hand from thrift shops or consignment occasionally? Will you consider tailoring? Good luck with your pledge.
