New top... keep or return?

I've had to cut my shopping way down, but I saw this blouse and just HAD to have it. I really like it, but I'm only keeping it if it's a 10:

If it's a keeper, is it too short to wear with skinnies for my body type?

I love the top, for me it's a ten and would look gorgeous with your pearls. I also like the top with your skinny jeans.

When I opened the link to the 'thin' model all that I thought was urgh, look at the bony chest, your skin is far smother in that area Marianna. I think you should concentrate on how the clothes look on you, the model is irrelevant!

I could see you wearing this top to the Anthro interview.

Marianna - I really like it. I think you have such a good eye and know how to pick out good things. I think it is actually a very versatile top. I say keep it and I do like skinny jeans or you could do straight leg jeans. Can it layer under a cardigan?

If you wear skirts, would you wear it with a skirt?

I think you have a great eye and you always look super cute...I love your style:) and i LOVE the embelleshment on this top...It is beautiful.

It looks great just the way you have styled it, but for an interview would you consider it with a skirt? and one of your cute flats?

Taylor, I would consider a skirt... but what color? And what shape? I'm clueless when it comes to skirts. I was also thinking about some sort of patterned trouser (microcheck or tweed maybe, but not sure if that would work).

The top is black with lots of detail, so I would go simple, A-line , or straight..in any color you fancy...You have such a fun and creative style... But I like the sound of microcheck with that,:)

If you go a solid color...textured tights would be super cute...you have some adorable flats too:)

You know I really like this top on you but for some reason I don't like those sleeves on you,sorry I guess its just me - please don't hate me - I just say what I think.I would like this top with more fitted sleeves.

On a day to day basis I would follow Taylors advice, but for your anthro interview I think you could play with textures by pairing the top with tweed trousers. I think it would look very eclectic. Alternatively you could try a menswear style trouser with your pewter oxfords.

I think it may be time to get snapping and post your results!

Yes, I like the idea of pairing the top with tweed trousers. I had that image in my head as well... seems very Anthro. I don't own a pair, but I think I can find them relatively inexpensively.

Yep Marianna, your idea of the tweed trousers was inspired. I hope you find them in time. Out of curiosity, has your Mum come around to your style transformation. I remember you posting she was struggling to adjust her eye to some of the new silhouettes you are wearing.

Oh, I love the idea of tweed trousers! That sounds fabulous! If you have time take a picture if you pair it like that. I think the important thing is YOU love the top - to me when I have that response to something it is a real sign it will probably really be worn a lot.

Julie, thanks for asking about my mom! She still hates when I wear dresses (she says they make me look like a box) but otherwise she thinks I dress really well. I understand what she means though... when I wear pants I look leaner so I hardly ever wear dresses. I'd love to find a really flattering frock but I haven't had much luck.

Well, I wore this top today to work with my Paige Premium denim and my new red Me Too wedges. The wedges KILLED my feet and gave me the worst blisters ever. I was limping. Luckily I foresaw that I might need a change of shoes so I brought my trusty flats with me... instant relief. I am on my feet for 12 hours at work and the Me Toos are not going to work. Sigh. But the top was great and I felt super chic all day! A definite keeper.
