New Purchase Pics/Need Opinions

I picked up a new (Nine West $35) handbag at TJMaxx tonight. Kind of spur of the moment but I think it works.
Also included are my new gloves and scarf. Gloves are Isotoner, black (per Angie). Not the height of fashion but soft inside and warm and not too expensive in case they get lost. Scarf is $10 from Target. I wasn't finding any turquoise that were right, most were too patterned. I found this blue though wihich I like, and grabbed it knowing winter accessories won't be around in the stores much longer.

Questions:
1)Is this white alright for winter and summer? I was looking for yellow but that began to look busy with the blue scarf and black and white coat I thought.
2)Is this handbag the right size and shape for my body type and size?
3)Is it the right style to wear over my shoulder or is it literally a "hand" bag that I'm just supposed to hold onto?
4)How often do you personally change out purses? Day to Day? Seasonally?

I may get another one for summer or fall but I probably won't spend as much.

1) I think it definitely looks good for winter - is it a 'winter white'? Good combo with the tweedy coat and bright blue scarf.
2) good size/shape, but for your shoulder's sake, please don't stuff it
3) Looks to me like it can be a shoulder bag, but the handle could also be over the arm. Not really a true handbag drop.
4) I have too many purses and am too lazy to swap often - unless it is a special event (ha ha, see the thread on all dressed up and no where to go) Change out every couple weeks at most.

Great-looking bag! I would say yes to the first 3 questions. I love the color of the scarf. I have a similar false plain coat and love how it looks with a cream bag.
My bag collection is small, so I don't swap too often, but it depends on the function.

I'd say yes to the first three questions. About purses, I find that I change them much more often in the warm weather, pretty much on a daily basis, they are bigger part of the outfit, This winter I find that I carry my big black tote most of the time for work, other than for going out when i switch to something smaller.

Love the purse and color and think it looks good with your figure. I think you could wear it over your shoulder as well as over your arm, that's my favorite type of bag.I'm rotating between my purple and black bag sometimes every other day depending on what I'm wearing I'm looking for a white or off white one for spring and summer right now, I have a yellowish camel one I will use once we are through with winter. I have really enjoyed my purple bag this winter, was desperate for some color!

love your purse, and agree that it will be great for both summer and winter.
I personally stick with one main bag in a color that pretty much works with everything, swapping out when the outfit warrants it. I don't have an extensive collection at all.

I'm not big on purses, so I only have two or three which I use depending on the outfit. For work I carry a small messenger bag.

mnsara: True...I will be hurting if I manage to fill this bag! I will have to be careful of that as it is so easy to fill up whatever space there is! It is will be revealing to find what is hiding in my current purse when I switch. Yikes!
I don't know for sure what "winter" white looks like but the handbag is kind of a dull/greyish white. It has some silver trim and thread.
Marianne: I don't know what is meant by false plain coat...could you enlighten me? : ) Glad you like it though!
Thank you Tanya for the tip on a yellow bag. Maybe it was just the shades I saw in the store or their styles that didn't seem to work. I do like the idea of a yellow bag still so that's good to know.

Queenie and Kristine: I have never been a big purse person myself so I don't forsee myself buying a very big collection, I don't think I could stay on top of it. But time will tell!

Angie:Thank you! I was wondering about the jeans. They are "slim & straight" from AT Loft. I know you were just talking somewhere else about jeans lengths. They don't graze the floor in those particular boots so they are probably too short?With those boots anyway.
I will also have to look into possibly dying some of my jeans as I notice more in photos how faded they have gotten.

I love the coat and bag, and the scarf and gloves. This makes a great winter outfit for you. It looks great on you. The bag goes well with everything. It was a great choice.
