Sorry for doing a post and run last night – it was actually a post and fall asleep. Intended to check in on my ipad, but crashed.
Thank you so much for your kind words Deborah, Shevia, Carla, Sveta, Aubergine, Sarah, Suz, unfrumped, Eliza, Carter, Joy, Gigi, Alana (silver sister!), Neel, Glory and Diane.
Deborah, yes, this is now my natural colour.
Eliza, stopping colouring is definitely a process, and you really need to be ready. But there are lots of resources for information and support when you are. It’s very freeing.
Joy, no, I’ve never been blonde. My original natural colour (Ha!) was a medium brown, much the same as when I started on here. I started colouring so early that I was embarrassed by my grey, so tried to match as much as possible. Then I was a slave to the maintenance, and whenever it faded I hated the lighter colours on me – I knew warmth in my hair would not be my friend, so I wasn’t even tempted. I did put in a few highlights to help the grow out process, but that was more to send the message I hadn’t neglected my colour, that I was being very intentional about the “skunk”.
Glory – “elegant and edgy” – YAY! Two of my “E” words!
This morning I just wet it a bit and mussed it up… even left the house with it still a bit damp – heaven! Hopefully it looks okay…
