New Faux Leather Skirt

Hi Ladies:).

I bought this faux leather skirt a couple of days ago and haven't worn it yet. Started to play around with styling ideas and keen to know your thoughts.

I have tried it here with midnight blue satin top unbelted and belted. Please excuse the lack of overall styling ... Home from work and supposed to be preparing dinner...priorities!

I was attempting a variation on Bei-Jing's look, however I do not have a patterned blouse (yet) :). Would love your suggestions for what would work with this skirt.

Also after I took photos I realized I had the front seams of the skirt off centre but I think you get the idea of the fit of the skirt. And photos a bit dark as it's early evening here.

Both are fab, first is very stylish and edgy for me, second is comfy I think it depends on your mood.
Mee too, very interrested in this thread, cuz just bought a pair of pleather skinny pants for my 14old daughter, and although I don't own a (p)leather skirt yet, I am on the hunt for the perfect one...I really like the vibe!!!

Both looks are fantastic. I love the color combination of black and blue and the edge that the faux leather skirt gives to the look. If I had to choose a favorite, I would say that I slightly prefer the belted styling.

Great skirt! I like it both ways, but #2 is my favorite. I just love that blue shirt on you - it's still dramatic like the black you wear so well, but softer. And it's perfect with the skirt. The color and the drape of the top when you wear it untucked softens up the edginess of the skirt perfectly.

I am enjoying this ink blue color and am noticing it in the stores quite a bit.

Rita, I think the quality is ok. It is soft with a little give in it. I have purchased it at the end of the season so it was quite inexpensive. I t hink time will tell in terms of how well it wears.

Angie, I had wondered about my red shoes with this combination. Do I need to bookend the shoes if I do wear them with this? Can red lipstick bookend?? Otherwise maybe a touch of red in a necklace? And thank you for your K rating, I am thrilled and I will wear this combination with great confidence.

Aida, I had started to consider a pleather skirt but wasn't really actively looking and there it was last Friday night when I went to the shopping centre to pick up some household items and dinner. Walked past a boutique and there it was hanging on the sale rack... I have an eagle eye. You know what they say about things turning up when you least expect them.

Thanks again for your input. I am slowly developing a YLF approved wardrobe and I love it.

I really love 2, it's more modern and trendy!
