new cardis from summer sale for review

Hi all - I haven't been able to post much of anything lately. (And I'm off on a business trip for about a week that will keep me from being active even longer! Boo!) But I always read stuff and it's a great distraction from the heavy stuff in life. Thank you again.

A couple weeks ago, I got some cardis on sale. I couldn't wait to wear one until I could post so the white one cannot be returned but the black one can.

Also, in each picture, I'm wearing pants that I'm 90% ready to get rid of. They're ankle length and I had hoped captured the Audrey Hepburn thing, but I don't really think that's happening. Thoughts? Will you be talking me out of that decision?

P.S. - Shiny, you are always in my head when I'm trying jackets/cardis on. I hear you say, "Does the button hit you in the right place?" We'll see how well I did on answering that question.

Hi Alecia - the white one is not the same cardigan that I got at ATL -- mine is cropped so it hits just below the bust. But it looks like the beading is similar so it's probably from the same line. I like both the sweaters on you and think they will work well if other pieces in your closet. I think that the Audrey Hepburn look requires very fitted pants that end at the ankle (I think they are called cigarette pants?) so I don't think these will work for that look.

The black and white cardi looks beautiful, Alecia! Perhaps try fastening one more button on the bust. I much prefer you in a three quarter sleeve length. It’s extremely flattering. Makes you look svelte.

The white cardigan looks pretty too – would have been perfect if the sleeves were three quarter length. But it’s still pretty.

You might have an inkling as to how I feel about the pants

Hi Alecia...Cardis are great...pants notsomuch.

I think I'd like to see a nice bright color (coral perhaps?) under the white cardi. (ha, I just realized I'm wearing a coral top under a white cardi today!)

Yeah! I'm so glad the black and white one works. I'm so happy.

The white cardi was only $15 so I'm thrilled to have scored a "pretty" at that price.

I figured as much with the pants. I won't miss them.
