New blouse and jeans...keep or return?

Here is the Lucky blouse with the annoying drawstring, as well as a new pair of COH jeans I picked up at Macy's.
Keepers? Keep trying? Should I hold out for a pair of lighter wash, wider flair? The problem I'm having with the lighter wash jeans I try on is that the fabric seems really thin and worn. I'm not digging that.

I added just a couple styling attempts with the blouse. Not refined at all, just trying out different silhouettes and colors.

Love the blouse! Far more than I expected I would, actually. Fie on annoying strings!

The jeans are great, but if you are looking for flare, they don't have enough IMO.

I agree -- love the blouse, love the jeans, but I wouldn't call those "flares." Have you tried the Gap flares?

I did try the gap flares, but I was hoping to go with a pair of premium for longevity. I was going to go back and retry the Gap ones Wednesday when those coupons are supposed to be available.....
such dilemma!

Love the blouse but I think a lighter color jean would look better with the blouse and also it would work better for summer.

The blouse is great! So much better than the pic that we saw of it the other day. I like it both tucked and un-tucked.
As far as the jeans go - I think it all depends on what you want. If you're looking for flare, these just don't cut it. However, these look as though they fit you really well and are very flattering across your "hiney!"

I'm going to have to go find some flares and then we can decide which we all prefer

Love the blouse on you! Those jeans also look great, and we all know how hard it is to find flattering jeans! But, if you don't need another pair of good jeans, I can see looking for a lighter wash. I do agree that blouse would look good with a lighter color.

Killer blouse, Kim! So feminine and pretty! I really like the jeans too--they fit you beautifully! (Nice rear shot! ) If these aren't filling a gap, I'd like to see a lighter wash, flair to compare--that's what was on your list for spring, no?

The jeans are perfect. Keep! And if you find lighter and wider pair later on, keep those too.
My point is that you can never have too many pairs of perfect jeans.
I like the blouse, too, it's pretty seventies.

Those jeans look wonderful on you! Please keep! With the blouse I would listen to your heart. It is cute and pretty colors but not worth being annoyed about the drawstring. If that is bugging you, you can always look for one with an elastic waist to get that gathered look.

I really love the blouse on you, and you look absolutely fab in those jeans! But if you are really wanting a lighter, flare-ier pair, can you keep those and get another pair :)?

I can't keep these jeans plus buy another more flared pair. I'm thinking what I need to do is look for a lighter wash more flare for summer and wait until fall to get a pair of standard bootcut. I do like the fit of these, but I'll be able to find them again this fall.

No Ellie, I haven't made up my mind completely. If I can't find lighter wash flares that work I'll most likely keep these, but I want to keep looking for now.

I think both are keepers BUT if you really want lighter, more flared jeans I say return. I like them on you and think they fit beautifully but if they aren't what you were looking for why keep?

Love both! I would suggest keeping these as bootcuts (they're not flared enough to be flares in my opinion, and they really look great on you) and then get a non-premium pair of flares for summer (such as the GAP ones, if you end up liking them).
