Need help deciding between two styles of Frye boots

I've got several wardrobe issues backed up, so please bear with me! Only have now gotten a chance to snap a few pics

First of all, I'm trying to decide between two styles of Frye boots: the outside Heath in sapphire, or the Harness 12R in dark brown. The Heath is slouchier, lower in the heel, and shorter in shaft heigh than the Harness. Both fit well, and are of lovely Frye quality.

I'd like them to look good with a dress. Unfortunately I can't keep both! I want to keep one pair, but if neither look good, please let me know and I will hunt around some more. Thanks!

I think i like the Heath better. They seem to hit at a better spot on your calf. Can you get a closer up pic of both to show the detail?

I like the Harness hands down. I have them in the distressed brown color. Very classic Frye. The Heath seem too plain, the harness give more edge to the dress. I wear that same dress in green with harness!! We may be twins!

Too bad you can not keep both, they are gorgeous! I still have a tiny preference for the Heath. The color is gorgeous and unusual, and they seem to fit better too.

greenglove -- Ooo, distressed brown! Very cool and like you say, very classic Frye. I think that's one reason why I like the Harness.

Tanya -- I suppose I could keep both, but then I need to go on an absolute shopping ban for awhile! Heh The color is definitely unusual on the Heaths.

Another consideration is price -- the Heath were almost twice as much as the Harness, even though I got both on sale. I dunno if the blue color will be coming back, but I'm pretty sure brown Harness boots will be around

I like the Heaths, hands down. They just look like they fit better around the calf, and look great with skinnies and a dress.

Another vote for the Heath! I also think they fit better -- they appear just a smidgen shorter on the calf.

Either pair looks great with your skinnies, but I prefer the Heath with the dress.

Do you already own some shorter black boots? If you do, then the Indigo is a wonderful color - so dark!

I think they're both winners but if I had to choose just one, it would be the Heath. They seem to be a bit shorter and a bit more fitted around the calf. I think they're more flattering. I'm curious, did you try the Rory scrunch or the Veronica slouch too?

I vote Heath 100%. I have not looked at the other comments, but I hope you pick the Heaths. They are KILLER.

Kristen - Thanks! I think they are better around the calf, particularly since they scrunch.

mnsara - I wasn't sure if shorter on the calf was better, but sounds like it is! I do own short slouchy black boots (the Star Ling ones from Nordstrom). So the Heath kind of replicate them, but in a different color -- the color is much brighter blue than in my outfit poses.

kellygirl -- I haven't tried the Rory, but I own a pair of Veronica slouch boots. They are hands down my favorite boots (so far). I wanted to get another pair of Frye since I wear the Veronicas all the time.

Angie -- Ah, a killer pair of boots, yay! I really wanted something in the Sapphire color after I saw your post with the Veronicas in sapphire.

I'm facing away because I wasn't wearing any makeup and my hair was a mess!

Hmm, tough choice. I like both for different reasons (the color of the Heath, and design of the Harness), and actually have been considering these same options. I do see what the others are saying about the Heaths hitting at a better spot.

Whatever you decide, you'll have a pair of awesome boots.
