Since starting my job in the 'big city' I have realized that high heels just won't work for commuting and the 12 hour day. Maybe I'll stash some in the office for winter when I switch out of boots, but for now, I'd rather be in a comfy all day flat.
Red and black pointy toed flats from 2013 are working out great, and the new (last week!) silver pointy toe silver loafers are comfy out of the box and getting compliments.
Today I picked up these navy loafers. Leather upper and sole. Lightweight and quite comfy. I think they will work with rolled pants (boyfriend style) and possibly with some dresses or skirts. I showed them to a friend who called them a 'blast from the past'. She said she hadn't seen Weejuns in an age (and neither had I.). Seeing Angie's post today gave me hope that they aren't an outdated style.
What say you all?
