You can't go wrong with metallics! Depending on your skin tone, silver, pewter, gold or bronze will work. Or if you are brave, a bright color could work: yellow, red, green, etc. Or a neutral -- bone, tan, etc.

Basically, anything except black or trying to match the blue will be perfect. (And you could get away with black or navy if you really wanted to, but they're trickier and won't be nearly as attractive as a metallic or a color.

yeah, i thought about cream?

Cream is ok.. but too classic, I would try bronze or a bold color like yellow.

& a matching clutch bag?

I third the options of a metal. Silver looks especially smashing with navy.

What do you think of the pewter sandals Angie blogged about yesterday, Jess?

Or something like this? (I like silver shoes that aren't overly 'shiny')

By the way, you don't necessarily need to match your clutch to your shoes. So for example, you could go with pewter or silver shoes, and a matte gray bag. It would help if you could tell us whether the dress was casual, dressy or formal, and for what occasion you would be wearing the outfit!
