Navy and ink: good and bad news

If you remember I was trying to get more navy and ink blue items for my wardrobe as my new favorite neutral colors. This week I got 2.

Ink blue JCrew Tippi sweater
This was my first ever order from JCrew (thanks for the encouragement, Gaylene!) This ink blue Tippi sweater was such a clear winner that I cut the tags and wore it already twice this week (Go Team Wear!)
This color was on a good sale and with additional 30% discount it came to $42! This color is completely gone now so I am glad I pulled the trigger - thanks for Inge to helping me on the size. I am afraid I am going to become a Tippi sweater addict...

Navy trotters Pauline pumps
I have been looking for pointy toe pumps forever. It is a very hard style to find when your forefoot and toe box are wide and especially when sizing up 1/2 is impossible because they just don't make them.
I loved these pumps form the moment I opened the box and put them on. They are very pretty in this navy patent suede lizard pattern and the heel height is ideal for me. Alas - they are going back because the toe box is still too narrow for me even in WW It almost broke my heart but there is no point to keep the shoes I cannot wear or more that 1h...

Just wanted to share my good and bad news with you...

Sveta that Tippi is so just-right slouchy on you. Inge and Gaylene did a great job helping you out. I can see why you're addicted! Is it cashmere or merino?

I'm so sorry about the pumps. I bought some very similar Calvin Klein kitten heels that had a very, very pointy toe. Even thought the heel height was ideal, there was no way I could squeeze my toes into it for very long either (I thought my feet might shrink enough in the cold to make them work but they didn't) and I just let them go last week. You will be chic and happy in another option and won't damage your tootsies that way.

Gorges sweater. And I am very sorry about the shoes. I understand your shoe pain. I can't wear heels more than an inch or so, despite how much I live the look. At leas some flats are tending these days.

And your Canadian location does seem to make things more difficult. No Zappos.

What a shame about the shoes. I do understand about hard to fit pumps. My issues are different but I can't find any either. These were so pretty but you are doing the right thing sending them back.

I got the Calvin Klien (SP?) Diernas in the Dark Blue suede . They are a pointy-ish toe kitten heel that (I THINK) will stretch enough . The color is spot on PERFECT and they were under $50 so I'm reealllyy hoping ...

Thistle, if only Zappos worked in Canada I would be one very happy camper! I am ordering from it to the border but it is more expensive and less convenient than having it delivered to your home for free with free returns
Rae, I tried to stretch them out but I think the toe is too pointy to be comfortable for me. Oh well, maybe another time...

Beth Ann, I got XL, they go up to XXL. I advice get 2 sizes to compare if shipping and returns are free. They also have merino V-necks which may be a more flattering neckline for you.

The sweater is great! I have a purple Tippi that just doesn't work on me, and seeing yours makes me realize I should have sized up at least one size if not two. Yours looks so perfectly slouchy.
