Myshape.com - out of business?

What is up with myshape.com? I placed an order more than a week ago and have heard nothing from them. I tried customer service today and received an answering machine. Tried the customer service email, it bounced back to me as undeliverable. The "live chat" function on the website doesn't work and online reviews lately are horrible. I don't think I've been charged for my order, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had sketchy experiences with them lately?

I ordered about two weeks ago and haven't received my either. I'm off to check my CC.

Interesting -- they still send me an e-mail every single day, but I haven't been to the site in a while because I got annoyed that they seemed not to be allowing me to shop without completing an entire profile. I have bought things from them in the past, but recently I seemed unable to do that unless I finished the (endless) profile forms.

I ordered after Christmas too and noticed today that my order just shipped. Not sure what is going on over there.

That makes sense, actually, because there aren't any new items on the site, and everything they have is a final sale. I haven't placed an order recently, partly because everything says that it can't be returned.

This was my first order with them. I tried customer service and no one answered got the same email response. I called my bank and canceled the transaction. I had no trouble with that because it had been pending for so long.

Oh, that's too bad. I hope they are staying in business - but when I've ordered from them, they have never been particularly speedy.

Yikes! I hope everything turns out ok with your order, once way or another.
I kind of forgot about that site...but it was fun. They gave me a free tape measure. I like free things.

It seems odd they would be winding down so soon after, but stranger things have happened.

I've ordered from them a couple of times in the past and had similar experiences to April and Laura - difficulty navigating the clunky website and verrry slow delivery.

Chiming in to let you know I found my MyShape order on the porch this morning. UPS must have dropped it off stealthily during the night. I ordered the day after Christmas, I think, so it's been awhile. Three items to flatter my S shape (?) I thought I was a Y. They are in perfect condition even though they were squooshed into the smallest poly envelope I have ever seen. Overall, I found the shopping experience pleasant. I hope they don't go out of business because I would shop there a second time for sure.

Yes, Ryce is right on. THey are having very serious problems and are no longer taking returns or issuing refunds. They are cutting back to the bare bones but are having major problems fulfilling their obligationans. I would file a report with the credit card company and get the charges taken off.

Laura - I've received nothing. My order is still listed as "open" on my account page. My card has not been charged. It's impossible to get a live person on the phone, so I've left messages and sent emails asking for a status. It's ridiculous. I would NOT advise placing an order with them right now.

I should add (or reiterate if I've said it before), I placed my order on Dec. 31.

Laura I have received nothing I placed my order on the 27th.The card had not been charged yet but had an authorization code on it. The bank canceled the authorization code. I would not order from them at this point.

Laura - I JUST got an email with a UPS tracking number. But really, I couldn't get through to anyone. Horrible customer service and slow! Proceed at your own risk.

Well I was saved by the "you snooze, you lose" rule because the dress is now gone from the website - probably for the best - but glad you are going to get your order. What did you order, by the way?

I ordered multiple times from their sale starting Christmas Eve. I have received all but one order so far. Everything fine, I am very happy except for one item that is too big and the other doesn't look as nice in person as in the picture but that's it. Excellent prices! I purchased from them whenever I wanted something and could get at least 25% off.

I am so sorry they are going out of business, they were my favorite place to shop because most everything fit when I got it. Usually when I purchased from them, things got here in 1 or 2 days but I think they are just overwhelmed with orders given the sale and diminished staff. Who knows if they will re-invent themselves with a leaner staff, or if they will be gone altogether.

Yes, they are going out of business. You think they don't care about their customers? They don't care about their employees--they were all layed off 2 days before Christmas. There are great deals to be had while they get rid of all their inventory, but you can't return anything and your order will be shipped late. If you are charged for an order you don't receive, you can challenge it with your credit card company.

I bought lots of beautiful clothes from them last year, but they owe me $156.49 for four items I returned in December. They have sent me emails stating that they no longer accept returns,and suggest reselling the items on Ebay! I've contacted my Credit Card and the Better Business Bureau. I can't get through on their phone line, and they have not returned my multiple phone calls. Imagine Lands End or LL Bean receiving your returned items and then refusing to refund! I am very frustrated, trying to get them to refund me for the four items I RETURNED TO THEM AND THAT THEY NOW HAVE.

Vancouverite, Myshape have had most of their items marked as final sale for quite some time so I'm not surprised that you are having trouble.

I think your best bet is to challenge the whole transaction with your credit card company if your original invoice doesn't say that the items are final sale.
