Hi Lovely Ladies;

Well inspired by so many of you, I finally did what I haven't been able to do before... and that is count the items in my wardrobe.

I have done this purely out of interest, and because now my wardrobe is much smaller than it was, it finally seemed doable:)

Please note that this is ALL my wardrobe, across all four seasons. I keep everything together as there is a lot of crossover between the seasons. A sleeveless top I might wear alone in Summer might be worn under a jacket in Autumn for example. A dress I wear in Winter with a jacket, leggings and booties might be worn with bare legs and open toe booties in summer.

So here we go:

Skirts - 16
(11 are black )

Pants - 19
(this includes ALL pants but not jeans, ie ponte legging/pants, tailored pants, etc.)

Tops - 67
(includes blouses, sweaters, jersey tops, etc any top that can be worn on its own or under a jacket)

Dresses / Tunics - 22
(I have a few jersey tube dresses that are used for layering only and have not counted them.)

Sleeveless Tailored Jackets - 2

Jackets/Blazers - 20

Cardigans/Vests - 24
(these are all knits, cardigans, wraps, poncho, knit jackets, sleeveless drape vests etc)

Coats - 5
(includes my rarely worn vintage coat, black winter coat, black trench, camel winter coat and grey tweedy coat)

TOTAL CLOTHING - 175

Tall Boots - 5
(one of these pairs has been replaced by my leather boots and will be leaving the wardrobe)

Ankle Boots - 13

Sneaks - 1

Lace Ups / Oxfords - 3

Other - 26

(includes sandals, shooties, pumps and ballet flats)

TOTAL FOOTWEAR - 48

Edited to Add:
HANDBAGS - 24
(Includes work bags, clutches, crossbody, totes etc)

I do have a chest of drawers also containing:

Drawer 1 - leggings (not pants), beanies, winter scarves
Drawer 2 - Short sleeve layering tees
Drawer 3 - long sleeve layering tops and a couple of sweaters

I haven't counted these as they constitute basics for me and I don't have many.
And I am not counting underwear or sleepwear as I keep modest numbers and replace as needed.

I do have some random pieces hanging in my spare room wardrobe but I am still deciding what to do with them so they have not been counted either.

I would guess that when I first came to YLF I would have had double the amount of clothing but still had nothing to wear lol. This is quite an achievement for me. What I have fits comfortably in my wardrobe, I love pretty much all of it, (tho there are some things that I will pass on soon) and I find it all the more manageable.

In fact, there is really enough room in the closet for DH to once again share the space with me... but if you don't tell him, neither will I:)

xxx Deborah
