My new shoes will NOT go with faux leather leggings :( ETA - my shoes

I was contemplating buying some booties with my "fun" money from this paycheck. I just ordered those faux leather leggings and I realized, what the heck will I wear with them? Can't really wear tall boots right? Will oxfords work? I suspect booties are the only real answer, right? I have about $100 to myself and could get a nice pair from Aldo (pic 1). But, alas, my running sneaks are starting to hurt my feet and an ugly blister is going to cause at least one missed run, so I had to go for function over fashion, and just ordered my new sneaks (pic 2). At least they were only about 1/2 of their normal cost on eBay. Marathon trumps fashion right now!

Lol, maybe I'll be sporting my faux leather leggings with Nikes....that's in style....right? hehe!

I think you've got lots of options for faux leather leggings! You could wear mid-calf boots, or pumps, or oxfords, or ballet flats, or slipper flats....

Hope the new tennies are more comfy!

Oh Aida....if only I had so many options....haha! Well I will give them a go with oxfords. I have ballet flats, and I do love to wear them, but not so much in the snow.

Good point on no ballet flats in the snow I think if you have any tall or mid-calf boots that are a slouchy style that could potentially work well with leather leggings. And snow friendly!

#3 is really cute. I'd advise caution with the Aldo booties; mine wore out very quickly and I didn't pay full price for them, so I wasn't very devastated - their soles are lined with cardboard and it's this layer that usually dissolves before the rest of the boot goes. The bottoms of many of them are also very thin and literally "rub off".

I hope yours are nicer than the ones I had, but I was very sad because mine went with everything and were comfy!

Alrighty, here is my ENTIRE shoe collection.....yes, clearly my problem is a lack of winter weather shoes other than boots. I got ballet flats covered though!

I guess the only real possibilities are in pic 2, and to be honest I only have the black pumps for work when I go on training. I am not to good in heels!

I think all the footwear in the second photo would work. If it's cold but not slushy/snowy, then sheer nylons with either of the oxfords or the pumps would be fab. And I do think all the ballet flats will work, come spring. Are these your only boots? And you live somewhere snowy?? If so, you could totally justify another tall pair (at least one!) AND some shorter pairs when the budget allows it!

You should see how in California we're so excited when the temperature dips below 70 because then we get to wear our boots! And we all have a collection! Definitely get more!

I think after seeing my shoes laid out here, I'm definitely in need of booties, and maybe other boots. I have some ideas in mind, but not sure when I'll squeeze them in. We agreed to get the mortgage done in 48 months, and thus it's taking most of the extra cash flow, so I only have the money we take for gas and odds and ends each 2 weeks to work with. I may be able to squeeze out a pair, I will show you what I have in mind later.

I paired mine with motorcycle boots or converse. Maybe you can find an end of season bootie deal somewhere.
