A couple of weeks ago, I posted about an emergency shoe purchase when my spectator Mary Janes blew out mid-day. I bought these (in black but without the pinktuck at the vamp): http://www.infinityshoes.com/i.....Mooz-Belle
I was a little nervous with this purchase. I wasn't sure if I would like the shoes, and I wasn't sure if they would look right with dresses. Plus, I walk so much (a couple of miles per day), I didn't know if they would hold up.
Now that my blisters have healed, I can say that these are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I walk quite a bit for commuting through the city, and these shoes hold up beautifully. I don't even feel like I am wearing heels, and I can walk as fast in them as I can in flats. I even have grown to like the look with a skirt. They are retro-glam/funky.
I tend to wear them with JCrew's High Heel flare jean (my favorite cut of the season). With my black cloche hat and almost-knee length royal blue day coat, I look a combination of 1940s glamour and 1970s wanting to be 1940s glamour. My favorite baker (who is from Europe) told me that I look right out of Paris in the mid-1970s. I took that as a compliment.
I just have to say that if all Miz Mooz shoes are as comfy as these, I am a convert!
