I agree with week #1's 'best'. For week #2, I prefer #12, even though I love the mustard colour on you.

Looking good; there's definitely cohesion in your style. All your outfits look like you.

I agree with the big pics. It's informative to see the collage. There are some pics where you look very nice - the smart, modern classic ones are what I'm thinking of - but you don't sing in them as much. They're not bringing the same joke de vivre as the ones with a bit of funk. To me the cowboy boots and dress is the cream of the crop.

Well said Rachylou! I agree with the others that your style seems quite cohesive, and you definitely know what colors look great on you. But my favorite looks of yours are the ones with a bit of a funky edge...cowboy boots, converse with a dress, or that great cuff bracelet. Maybe that's part of your solution...take a simple outfit and give it a bit of Jenn "funk!"

Thirding RachyLou!

smittie - I can see why you would say that about #12. It's definitely an outfit that works, possibly better than the one I chose. I just don't love it.

Alassë - Thank you. I'm still not sure how I'd define me-style, though. I have my formulas, for sure, but they're not all successful.

rachylou, kerlyn, and E - Thank you! I will have to think about what my signatures are and how I can add that "Jenn funk" (that sounds like BO...we won't be using that term again ) to every outfit.

ETA: Added a pic of what I'm wearing today. It's the same top as in #2 above, but I think I did a better job with it, yes?

Jenn, #12 is probably more *my* style than yours.

Yep to more funk in the newer outfit photo! I love how you wear cowboy boots. Those are not something I've ever been able to master (and I've lived in Texas on and off for twelve years of my life), but on you they're just effortless. I wonder if some larger-scale, artsy looking jewelry might be another option to add a Jenn touch? You can shoot me down, just throwing out suggestions.

E - I actually have quite a bit of bold, statement jewelry. I sell at craft shows six or ten times a year and on Etsy year-round, so I'm often surrounded by amazing jewelers and have the opportunity to trade for their work. I haven't been wearing it as much recently for a couple of reasons. First, my skin gets extra sensitive during high-allergy times. Second, I just haven't been loving it as much. A phase, maybe. Or I'm craving having just the right pieces.

Put together a collage for week 3. I didn't pick a favorite, because none of the outfits felt fabulous, but maybe you ladies can point to one that worked better than the others?

I like 15, 16, and 20 best.

That's kind of funny, Alassë. I think #15 and #20 were my least favorites!

I like 18 and 20 best!

What do you guys like about #20? I mostly dislike it because I'm not feeling the pattern on that shirt and I think I'm over plain ballet flats, but maybe there's something I can take from it as I go forward.

In 20, I like the neckline, the shaping of the top and the proprtion of the outfit with the top out over the skirt. I also like the leg-lengthening effect of the low vamp on the flats.

Thank you, thank you, Carter! I can work with that. I like those things too and, honestly, I bought the top because the shape really worked for me, ignoring the fact that the print is just really not my style.

My favourites - 3,5,7,8 & 9. Then 15,16,18 & 20

I love the top in 20. Beautiful print and drape! I like you best in dresses and in printed tops. Abstract prints over geometric prints....and I love to see you in all shades of blues, berry, purples and blacks. Those colours really make your beauty SING....your skin looks gorgeous in those colours and your hair looks wonderful.

That makes sense re: jewelry!

I like the drape & general shape of the blouse in 20. In general, I think more open necklines are great on you! The shape of the jacket in 17 is gorgeous on you too...when I look at the group, I prefer the outfits where the top has a bit of shape to it, either built-in or because you've tucked. But that could also be because drapey stuff is more difficult to capture in a photo. I really like 16 & 19, probably because I'm in love with how you wear cowboy boots (...and I have a bit of a poison eye for cons...unlike everyone else in the world). lol

I liked #20 because the top seemed to pair really well with the ballet flats and skirt.

I think I like the dress the best and the skirt - basically the ones with high cotton and denim content, which reflects my bias for them!
I think you're dressed nicely in all your outfits, though.
What do you think is contributing to 'not fab'? Maybe the lack of jewelry or topper or some sort of layering? Tough in the summer.

Ooh, smittie. Good questions.

Some of it is just summer dressing, which I find frustrating and boring.

The tops a lot of you like on me (and I do, too) are mostly polyester, which I can't sweat in without getting a rash. I'd like to purge it from my wardrobe entirely. Problem is: the logical switch for the same drape would be silk or rayon, but silk doesn't suit my lifestyle in the summer and I am through with rayon's quality iffiness. I haven't been able to figure out a cotton/linen formula that works for me.

Also, I'm going through a style shift, of sorts, and craving a more modern, cohesive look. I'm attaching an outfit I pinned the other day that I can't stop looking at (although I think I'd prefer it with leather oxfords over the ballet flats), along with the color palette that I've been working with.

Ooh, that's a very fun inspiration pic, and I think you're already getting close to that palette, aren't you? I remember the mustard and the burgundy, and I think the olive?

Yup, WordLily, I'm getting close, though I have a tendency to buy too much black and burgundy and not enough accent colors. Also, I really need to pin down the shade of off-white that works for me and stop buying optic white.

Aaaand, here's my week 4 collage. I think I went through four weeks without repeating a single outfit, even wearing the same items over and over. Crazy.
