You can't miss with any of these puffers but I really, really like the eggplant one. But you already have practical and now want something fun, so I'm guessing you'll choose #3.

There are quite a few people in the fashion industry (mag. editors and bloggers and the like) that have written about washing their leather pants.

The white is stunning on you, Suz. It lights up your face, especially with the hood up. Second favourite is the burgundy which looks lovely on you, but it doesn't have quite the same impact as the white. Decisions, decisions!

The burgundy is gorgeous. This is the best fur collar--shape and color-I've seen. But I understand it may be too subdued for the change you need. If your gray one gets destroyed, you should replace your "neutral" puffer with this one!
I do think you can "take" red--I liked one of the previous reds better; it was a bit cooler--but I would definitely keep a fairly bright red on the list of happy colors. I'm not digging the pompoms--those would drive me crazy. But I see the appeal of white.
I'm no help!

I realise you said you felt the color is too dark, but the second one is really a stand out for me. It looks perfect!

Washing leather at home, sure. Washing down at home, sure. Washing the two together? I would not.

Any conditioner you put on the leather is going to be no good for the loft of the down (assuming this is down and not synthetic -- but synthetic fill can be even less resilient and lose loft more quickly than down). I would spot clean carefully and take it in to get cleaned professionally about once in a million years.

Otherwise, it is super fab!

I would get the puffiest warmest puffer with a really good deep hood, and not compromise on those things if you're walking around town.
Love the length and smushiness of #1, and feel the colour is good, but could be better.
I actually like the eggplant colour the best, but again, I think the colour is good but not great on you.
I like the white one, but it looks a bit thin.

I love that burgundy one. In fact I really want it. haha! It's gorgeous.

I love the drama of the white one, but I've been on a white kick lately. I have a white mohair transitional coat that I got last year and hardly wore because the winter started so early. And I've been wearing it all the time this year and wishing for a white puffer to take over later. I saw one in the Athleta catalog but don't think it would be as warm as this beauty you found

I like #2. I do think the colour of #2 is very flattering.

Not having read responses to remain neutral I pick the burgundy. Stunning on you. But length might be short. If so you pick from the other 2 - not a loser in sight.

I like the burgundy coat best, followed by the white.

I think you have 3 strong contenders here. My favorite is the burgundy, both the style of the coat itself and how it looks on you, including color and fit. My second favorite is the white- you look like a snow princess
The Pom Poms do give me a bit of pause, are they removable?

I like the white best and the eggplant color next. I may be the only one to say this, and please forgive my honesty, but I am not fond of that particular shade of red on you. At least in the picture, it seems to make you look washed out and less vibrant. I like the style of the red coat though, maybe in a different color.

The white one is super gorgeous and is my top pick. But...our winter weather. Will the mega snow and slush mean mega washings for those leather sleeves? That would make me pause. (But then the coat is so gorgeous I'd probably buy it anyway.)

I like the cherry red one too, the dark red one not as much.Thinking about how cold last winter was, I'd probably buy the warmest coat. That of course would mean that we will then have a mild winter, ha!
