More Keep or Return: Target dresses

I tried on dresses at Target today and believe it or not, I had better luck than I've had anywhere else so far.

I came home with three dresses: two identical woven wrap shirtdresses in teal and brown, and a black flowered sundress with a wide elastic band in the middle. I also tried some leggings underneath, these are regular length leggings that I scrunched up to see where short leggings should hit on me to be most flattering.

This is a medium, my usual size - you don't think I need a size down, do you?

I didn't bother photographing the brown one because it's exactly the same.

Black flowered sundress: I might have passed on this one had I been by myself, but the friend I was with really liked this on me. Is the skirt too full?

The teal and brown dress I would wear both casually and to work, the sundress would be casual only.

What do you think, keep or return? Also, is that a good length for short leggings on me? It's right at the top of the widest part of my calf.

Does the first dress feel a bit big? does it come in petite?
I LOVE the second dress with the denim jacket...ADORABLE on you. I think the leggings look good too,

No petite, but that is a medium - I could try a small, maybe?

I am thinking you need a small...what do you think?

Hard to comment on the floral dress since the pictures are so fuzzy. Sorry.

But I think the leggings dress outfit is adorable. I do think a small is worth a try.

Definitely try a small in the first dress Tricia, it is adorable! I'm afraid I can't see much of the second dress but from what I can, the jacket looks great with it. Also, try this dress if you can. As far as I know, it is not available in stores but Target offers frees hipping on orders over $50.

I like the second one with the jacket. I'm not so sure about the first dress, but I like how you styled it with the flats and leggings.

now for the wrap dress... what if you removed the long tie and put a large hook and eye closure instead and then added your own belt? It seems that all that dress is missing is a more structured belt detail. Those long self fabric ties are my biggest struggle with dresses like that.

The teal dress is not working for me as it is. Maybe need to see a couple more photos of it. I keep looking at the way it is belted, but can't put my finger on what is bothering me exactly.

The second dress I really like, especially the way you've styled it with the denim jacket and pin. That is a great look!

Hmmm I agree maybe a smaller size in the teal dress? Not a 10/10 in that pic.

Printed dress looks good but a bit blurry to make out. Denim jacket totally works with it though!

Don't feel too bad though, Target always has so many things but only a small % that work. Keep on trying and something will turn up!

I agree with the verdict on the first dress -- something about it is off for me too. I like the idea of the printed dress, but the waistband looks like it's hitting too low on your body. Would be more flattering if it hit a little higher up. Does that make any sense? Tam is so right, keep trying, Target always has so much to choose from!

I really like you in dark teal, Tricia! Perhaps you could try a knitted wrap dress. That might work a little better.

The second outfit is adorable with the denim jacket. A fab look for you! How do you feel about the gathers on the waistline? Too poufy?
