Another gardening nut here, like LisaP. I love seeing everyone's garden pics! I tend to buy less these days, and just dig up overgrown perennials and move them around. I really have to stop creating new gardens because they all have to be taken care of....:-) I have perennial beds wrapped all around my long house, plus brick walkways, and both very old and newer rock walls. The Peonies are in full bud, on track to bloom Jun 1 which is their normal time. DH does a big veg garden..no pics of that but he's busy planting the seedlings he started weeks ago.
#1 walkway that goes to the deck in back plus the gardens around it..the pink is chives, yellow is sedum. Columbine just barely visible to the immediate left of the walkway. Honeysuckle on the fence about to burst bright orange soon. #2 is a diff angle on that same garden with daylily greenery in the foreground and house paint peeling
#3, 4, 5 a garden next to the driveway next to an old foundation. Mostly sedums and a couple of hostas. Used to be a rocky/grassy mess that I'd see whenever pulling into the driveway. The foundation wall now has some sedum growing in it. The brick piles are "tidied up" from what was probably a collapsed chimney many years ago. Everything here was moved from an overgrown planting somewhere else
#6 Iris is in full bloom now
#7 prickly pear cactus bred for NE U.S...it even flowers a little later in the summer.
#8 Simon sitting on the chair rail inside the screened porch, with the open deck beyond, his favorite summer spot. He and Alvin are not allowed on the deck or outside, too many predators and a very busy road.
