So here's the thrifted skirt I posted about yesterday. I swear it's like the Brazil Butt Lift of skirts. Looks like a straight midi pencil from the front, right? But around back, there's a party going on! There are no pleats, vents or slits in it, the back seams are just very, very curved--fabric is woven with some stretch. This might have to replace my ill-fitting black straight skirt that isn't quite snug enough to keep a shirt tucked in. Also shown is the Ann Taylor white shirt and the Me Too leopard flats that I got at Last Chance a while back.

Raspberry tweed 3/4 sleeved jacket. I will probably wear this with jeans and boots to dress it down some. But that will have to wait for fall.

Black shorts and striped T. Not perfect, but for a dollar, I'll wear them! I threw on some pearls and my ON Chanel style jacket.

Close up to show that the stain on the front of the shirt is gone, yay! It looked like a fruit stain (berry)--why else do you think the shirt stayed at Goodwill for several weeks until it was dollar day? I have to *work* for my bargains, lol! I tried stretching the stain over a bucket and then, standing on a chair, I poured an entire tea kettle of boiling water through it (this works great if the stain is fresh) but no luck. Hydrogen peroxide (great for organic stains) didn't work either. I finally resorted to the old bleach on a Q-tip trick, which of course bled a little onto the black stripes on either side of it. Ugh. After rinsing and hanging to dry, I touched up the black stripes with a black Sharpie permanent marker, and we're back in business.
Comments and suggestions for styling are welcome. Tags are still on the raspberry jacket, the T shirt and the shorts if you think they need to go back.
