I'm quite chuffed with myself for not shopping for my company holiday party, as I really am quite over the idea of buying something to wear for one event, possibly each year. So, when I found this gunmetal cable knit sweater in a local boutique, I knew that my days of cold arms (plus, hating to show them) were indeed over. While I would LOVE to wear my EF leather leggings, the sweater is WAY too short for that. So here's what I've got as options from short to long, all ages old purchased for holidays and probably never worn. All of these would be suitable for this event. There are a lot of scientist/medical types, so probably some fleece and birks, lol! Thoughts?

#1 Short black skirt with tiered flat ruffles (may be too short?)
#2 Velvet tank dress under sweater
#3 Flared, pleated brocade midi skirt in cream and black
#4 Long, flowy slacks with sheer panels front and back (I feel like a giant in these, and no, I won't stand like a sailor at the party, I'm just trying to demonstrate the look ;-))
#5 Close-up of the sweater, metallic being really hard to photograph
