Meet-up in Boston early in 2017?

There seems to be interest in having a meet-up in Boston early in
2017 after the holidays are over. One suggestion was to make it fairly early in January when good sales are on. Those who are interested, please reply back with what weekends would work for you. Also all recommendations for places to meet for breakfast or lunch and what stores are on your must-visit list.

This meet-up will probably be local people, but if any non-local fabbers are going to be in the area and want to join us of course you are most welcome!

Also, I looked around for forum postings on the Boston meet-up a few years ago to get some ideas. The stories are fabulous! Here is just one of the forum topics. This one had a list of most or all of the stores that folks went to…as a useful reference for 2017 planning

I am interested! I was at the last Boston Meet-Up. I live 3 hrs away, but would drive in for the day, or if anyone wants to share a hotel room, let me know. Any weekend in Jan. works for me.

As of now any weekend in January is ok for me. Karie how are you only 3 hours away? I thought you were in some far-off part of NY. I am 2 hours away.

No, I'm not in a far off part of NY! I live near Albany, which is about an hour or less from the MA border. Boston is 3 hrs. from here.

Karie, maybe I can share a hotel room. It's a longer drive for me, I think 4.5 hours depending on weather, but I would love to come depending on the weekend. The only bad weekend for me looks like the 27-29th.

Staysfit, if you're coming by way of the Thruway/I90, we could meet in Schenectady (I am right near exit 25A) and drive the rest of the way together.

I have this dream of visiting Boston but I could never swing January. I'll watch for future meet ups though. Perhaps one day .......

I can't do the weekend of the 14-15th, but am otherwise free.

Right now I don't have any plans for Jan weekends although I can't 100% commit right now.

(ETA: Jan 14-15 probably doesn't work for me, actually.)

Karie, it's easy for me to catch I90, so that sounds like a great plan. now we need to know what weekend? Once we have that we can PM each other to make more specific plans.

I'm going to chime as there is a very small chance I could be in Boston/Cambridge in January, and if so and if my visit coincides with a meet-up I would SO be there. I'll let you all figure out the dates and I'll see how my plans come together....

Ok, based on all the replies it looks like we should target the weekend of Jan 6 - 8 for this meet-up. So let's declare those as the dates.

I had an idea - what would you all think of seeing if Jean from extrapetite.com might like to join us for lunch or something like that? She's a boston fashion blogger who has been mentioned on YLF a few times. I don't know her at all but love her blog and would be willing to reach out to her to see if she's interested...let me know what you think.

I know -- and like -- her blog but I don't think any of us know her. My preference would be for a YLF group who at least know each other online.

I was just reading forum postings from the last Boston meet-up and people said they formed an email list to work out the details, so let's do that. If you will send me a PM with your email address I'll get it started.
