Low-rise pants

What are some brands that sell low-rise pants/jeans/leggings? A 7 inch front rise hits me at the belly button which is as high as I can go.

Some background: I am short 5' 2" and have a fairly protruding tummy and a smaller but not flatter waist. Most pants and jeans fit well when I am standing but dig in painfully when I sit. Due to a variety of reasons, I have a tender and bloated tummy. I wear foldover yoga pants and skirts at home and for running around. I used to have luck finding jeans at American Eagle but their washes are too casual even for my very casual lab environment.

Examples of pants that I like if they came in a low enough rise:

I have good luck with Limited Drew pants, and I have a similar figure. I just bought these, and they feel like I'm wearing pajamas.

I washed them once, and now they're the perfect length with heels. If you want to wear them with flats, you'd have to get them hemmed.

Ann Taylor's "Lindsay" cut is lower on the waist than their other pants:

Also Gap has low-rise bootcut jeans in a nice dark wash:

Try It! jeans. They have the rise you're looking for. They are a juniors brand but they fit me like any other jeans (though I had to give them away because the rise was way too short.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I plan to try them out. I hope my local Nordies has the It jeans.

Maya, I finally scored a pair of It jeans at the NAS and they fit so well. My first pair of jeans after several years! So exciting!

Fabulous! Glad they worked out for you. I thought they would (obviously) :) Which style are they?

They are the 'Hottie' style.

I won't be making the style charts any time soon but the bare bones style that does not pinch or dig anywhere is exactly what I wanted. Interestingly enough, these jeans came up as one of the affordable matches for my measurements on TrueJeans too. (TrueJeans - just like Zafu but only for jeans).

Those jeans look great Elpgal! For future reference: this is another site where you can search via pant rise:

I have owned the Hottie in the past and they were great jeans, but I retired them when they became too small and too low rise for me. Glad you found what you were looking for.
