Catching up on some DVR TV tonight and WNTW is one of the shows. (Ebony is the episode.)

First, broken record, I love, love, love Ted. He is a million times better than Nick. He actually listens to the clients and gives them looks they love rather than just chopping off all their hair.

Second, I think Clinton really nailed a critical concept of dressing in this episode. Most women wind up with so many closet orphans because they just buy what speaks to them in the store with no concern for the outfit. We often discuss here how dull and unexciting purchasing basics is.

As Clinton said, find that item that you love and really speaks to you. Then pair it with an item you don't necessarily love, but you really like because it fits and flatters, even if it is "basic." Finally, add the bling bling for personality.

I really like this way of thinking of things. Love a piece, anchor it with a quality basic, and then make it you.

Love + Like + Bling Bling = Fab!
