Cedar, if there is a Target near you, they have some some of my favorite tights. The Spanx line for Target (I think they're called Assets) has great tights. I have plain black, patterned black, and brown. The control top smoothes everything out nicely, but it's very comfortable, they don't roll down at the waist (a pet peeve of mine), and mine have held up really well. I like them much better than "real" Spanx tights I've owned which cost much more. You can also order them online:

Marianne--I do in fact live in Seattle. The reason I was looking for an online store is because I was interested in a place that deals primarily in leg/footwear. I've bought some tights at Nordstrom before, and I felt that I seriously overpaid for items that weren't of great quality. I figure a place that does only socks, nylons, etc would probably be a better value for my money.

I don't have any experiences with that brand or store, but the price is good. I am looking for tights to layer under pants/jeans for some extra warmth and those look snug.
