Looking for casual skirts/skorts?

I've never been much of a skirt wearer, but I'd like to give them a try this summer. I'm having a hard time finding any that are casual enough for my style/lifestyle, though. I don't mind florals, but I don't wear anything that's too ruffly or pleated. I like things a little more tailored, I guess. Has anyone seen any casual cotton or cotton blend skirts that they'd recommend?

Also, how do you feel about skorts, Angie? I'm thinking of something like this: http://www.landsend.com/pp/19T.....igin=index

I feel a little more secure running around with the kids knowing there's a short underneath. ;-) Also, I'm 46, but petite (5'2"), so I'm hoping a little above the knee is okay?

Check out the Lands End Sun Life skorts also. I have one and find it super comfortable for taking the kids to the playground and other activities. They have some really cute patterned ones and also plain colors. They are a little more sporty looking but I like them that way for kid activities where I am jumping in to play also. If you have a Sears with a LE store they are 30% off.

Those look sweet, Cindy. They will be long on you, though. Try ordering them in petite as I don't think these will hem.
