I'm still searching for good quality boots and I've come across Waldviertler. They're a small manufactory in Austria. The shoes are completely leather (sometimes lined with wool or sheep's skin) and they're designed so that you can easily resole them in time. And for the quality they're supposed to have the price is actually quite good. I paid almost as much for my pair of Ecco Goretex boots. They also do all their styles in different widths and I've read that they do them in all kinds of leathers for a surcharge. So you can order a specific color if you shell out more money. There's a store not that far away from me where I could try them on, so I wouldn't have to order online to see if the fit works.

The thing is, all their shoes have a very roomy toe box. Good for the feet and I think my own "wide in front" feet would love it, but it's certainly not the most fashionable look. I'm hesitant about that look in general. Do you think it would look alright if you'd take care to choose the right style and the rest of your clothes were more fashion forward? I was specifically thinking about looking for the boots below.

ETA - OT

Just thought I'd share kitty news with you! A while ago I posted on the Happy Moments thread that my family would get a cat. Well it turned out the cat of my sister's friend wasn't pregnant after all, it was a false diagnosis by the vet. So the family decided to take a trip to the animal shelter yesterday. They had small kittens that were rescued together with their mum, but they would only give them away in pairs. Well after a short discussion they decided to take two and my little brother got to pick the two cat ladies that are going to move in with them in two weeks time. The first one is called Minerva (Minnie), the black one is Luna. They will have moved in already when I'll be home for my birthday. I can't wait! (Yesterday would have been my Opa's birthday, so I think this was kind of therapeutic.)
