Long delayed installment of new purchases

I haven't been posting regularly because life got a bit crazy for a while there. I had meant to do several small posts of a few new purchases. I hope it doesn't look like I'm trying to elicit feedback without contributing my own on other posts. But I promise I'm trying to get back to regular posting!

This is the JCrew Corinne jacket that I had mentioned purchasing on ebay several weeks ago:

It is a sturdy ponte knit material and will have to wait until it is cooler to be worn. Also, I didn't realize that there is a pleat detail at the shoulders, not much of a poof so I'm not too sure about how much of a difference it makes.

Vani, you look fantastic and the colors are killer on you. I can tell you like the jacket just from your pose and your smile, so I would not worry at all about those sleeves (which look totally fine btw). It fits you very well and is super flattering.

I LOVE this look - you look amazing! I'm pretty sure I tried this jacket on at J Crew and it did not look half as good on me otherwise I would wear it in a heartbeat. I really like the classic color scheme as well - so pretty & summery. I don't think you have to worry about pleats or sleeve details at all - you're an hourglass/pear, right? In my case, I avoid them like a plague because I am an inverted triangle (a size or two smaller on the bottom than on top).

Thanks so much ladies!!! It means so much when you all approve of my new experimental purchases. Almost everything I buy these days is a new style or color to me and I'm still not at the point where I can be absolutely sure if something is flattering or not That awesome color combo is something I would have never put together myself prior to YLF. I'm learning something new everyday!

shana, yup I'm definitely an hourglass/pear. I can see what you mean about even the slightest pleat or poof making a difference. I have a very strong shoulder line so I'm afraid of the bowling pin effect Angie keeps talking about. But at this time the extra weight in my hips helps maintain balance I suppose

Brianna, I do plan to wear it death. If I can get around to getting my jeans hemmed soon enough
