Finding the items you need at the right price

Light gray jeans?

I am keeping a shopping list of things I would like to buy/try at a more appropriate time, and light gray jeans are something I definitely want to get. I'm not having the best luck finding them though. A higher rise (no less than 8.5 inches, the higher the better) is crucial. I would prefer a straight leg or bootcut pair. So far I have found mostly skinnies, which I don't really care for. I really like the ones Angie blogged about once (though I did not like them so much at the time), but of course they are gone by now:

I would rather not spend a lot on these since they are a novelty and not an essential part of my wardrobe. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Hi Maya

How light are you wanting to go, I am considering this pair for myself http://www.uniqlo.co.uk/catalo.....ight-jeans

I apologise for posting the UK site but the US site was down.

I have never ordered from them before so I am unsure about the rise and the quality.

Rose, I would actually like them to be even lighter, like 5-10% black. I know generally speaking it's not something that will get tons of approval/enthusiasm on YLF, but I'm bored with all my dark jeans and I like the look of a very light gray with black tops and shoes. To my knowledge the US Uniqlo website doesn't have an e-store? I could be wrong. Perhaps they will have other washes in the store though. I haven't been there in a while.

Maya, I wanted to alert you to this Rich&Skinny pair:

I don't know if you like the color or if the rise might be too low, but the price is great. I have a skinny version of these jeans and the denim is absolutely gorgeous, a medium uniform silver color.

They have this other two pairs as well:

Tanya, the dark silver is a bit darker than I was going for but it is very pretty. The second pair is perfect but the rise is indeed too low, both in front and back :( I will look like that girl in Angie's bottom cleavage post!

The third ones are great and look fairly high, but they do not have my size. I will keep an eye on them though.

Ebay! I bought a pair in '07 which is when it looks like Angie may have done that blog posting...so if they are not as readily available now I bet they are all over ebay. I bought my pair from the Limited on super clearance. you might want to check Target, I feel like I saw a pair of skinnies or straight leg ones there...

Here's a pair from ATL, but it does not give the rise unfortunately. The price is right though.

Oops, forgot the link!

Here's a pair from ATL (color is west end grey), but it does not give the rise unfortunately. The price is right though.

I actually just bought these ATL slim jeans. The color is a really nice medium gray. The fit, however, is odd. The thigh area is VERY slim and I actually found them TIGHT considering my thighs are not very large. I actually like the color, the length and the rise (its 7-1/2 inches) enough that I'm going to send them back and get a larger size (and alter the waist band...I have to on ALL my pants anyway).

Not sure how helpful it will be for you, but I found my light grey jeans (skinnies, but that's what I had been looking for at the time) at Marshall's on a whim. If you have one (or a TJ Maxx/equivalent) nearby, go have a look!
