SO GLORIOUSLY COOOOOOOL, and I'm all over #3, despite your reservations. There's something about the material that makes it for me and there's an "it" factor about the blouse. I'd be perfectly content if you chose #5, but my first pick is #3. Have fun, alaskagirl.

I also love the feather print blouse, but had a preference for a longer top.

I like #1 and #5! 5 if more casual, 1 if you want to make everyone die of jealousy.

1, 5, and then 4. I like the cut of #1, but of course from the pic it is hard to assess the fabrication. I like the asymmetry on you, but would the sweater be too warm or just right? #4 is maybe too conservative. . .

Amazing pants, so flattering! I like them all except for number 2, something about the straight bottom and where it hits is less flattering. Seems more like a shirt to wear with a business suit or blazer. Favourites is # 4.

How fascinating is this? And thank you all for your kind words. Yes, I'd like everyone to die of jealousy (high school was not my heyday in any way) but mostly I want to be able to be confident and comfortable. It looks like 1, 3 and 5 are all faves. I would love to get away with 1 if it's not too chilly. I think I'm going to bring these two with me and let my sister (who's my date!) be the deciding vote. They are both coming along anyway, so no extra packing.

I love the idea of the feather blouse but I do think it's too short in front for these particular pants, which don't photograph well in the nether regions. Ugh.

I have to say I thought the Equipment would be the sure thing here. Maybe it's too work-like, or too fitted these days?

I have one last wild card which I forgot - a black long-sleeved peplum which is really flattering. Will see if I can muster up the energy to add it - and THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

I am fascinated by the division in the votes here. I would say #1 if it were warmer, but it is Boston winter so I am in favor of #5. I also like 4 and 6 but they may not be exactly right for the event. I don't really care for #3, maybe it is just to much skinny leather for me. And great score on the leather skinnies, btw!

Love #1. I find monochromatic dressing to be very chic and such a classy look. A long silky black top would also be fabulous.

I was in the 1-or-5 camp before reading anyone's comments. You look amazing in those (and really in all) -- you'll knock them all out, Una.

I like 1 best, I went back to check and I think it is because it leaves more skin on the arms visible, somehow balancing the darkness of the pants and footwear. I am assuming the event is inside, so you just need a fab coat on top and voila, you are all set.

Scrolling down fast so I'm not tempted to read the other comments first! OK, I like #5 the best, followed by #4, and #1. Really, they all are great but those are my favorites. There, now I can go back and read what everyone else said.

When are you going to be here? The weather is all over the map. We're talking cashmere and puffer coats this weekend, and now 65 degrees and humid. Pack options for warm or cold.

I love ALL these looks, though #2 is my least favorite simply because it's green not black or gray, and this is Boston we're talking about here.

I'm tempted to tell you to pack all of the rest, and decide when you get here. You can't go wrong with any of these options. Weather and other factors may decide which you wind up wearing.

Shiny, I heard about the crazy weather! I can't bring more than one coat as I'm only doing carry on. And now two pairs of footwear. Ugh.

No time to read all the other votes, but I love #5! You will blow them all out of the water with those leather skinnies, Una. I can't believe you found them at a consignment store! The black, leather, rocker vibe is so perfect for your persona.

Okay, ladies, I'm in transit and in Chicago. Here is possibly the silliest thing I've done for style - take a picture of a photo on my camera with my iPhone so you all can see the wildcard which I was not able to post before I left. This is the Ann Taylor peplum and the side view unlike most of my items is better than the front.
