Remembe Angie's blog post about liquid/latex leggings a while back? I was pretty sure there was a way to wear them well, and one of my friends from school proved me right on her blog. I meant to post this a while ago, actually--the post is about New Year's Eve!--but I forgot until now. Anyway, go to this post:

and scroll down to the third picture. The girl is wearing latex leggings with a white button-down tunic shirt, a wide black obi-style matte belt, and grey/black booties. I think it's a completely gorgeous outfit--artsy, surprisingly simple, just the right amount of edgy bondage-chic. I'd wear it in a heartbeat if I had the body for it.

I think there are two key elements here that make the look work:
1) the simple, clean, conservative, classic element of the crisp white button-down tunic, which is echoed in the wearer's simple, classic bob hairstyle, and
2) the mix of different finishes on the leather--the matte belt, the shiny leggings, and the half-matte, half-shiny boots.
