After the discussion about photo preferences this week, thought I would offer two options.

Sunday: Delivered two boxes of clothes to my friends. Yay! I love the idea of orange and grey together, so I attempted it here. The tweed flats pulled it together, I think.

Monday: Maroon boyfriend sweater with grey trim, grey houndstooth skirt, grey hose, black boots. This skirt may actually be getting too big, darn it. I love it so much!

Tuesday: The last wearing of my beloved grey-brown tweed suit. Kasmira and I have the same mustard sheer Target blouse, so I swiped her idea of putting it under a vest. I went with a black Talbots silk one this time, and paired with a long gold-and-pearl necklace. This was the day of the poor shredded micro-fishnet with my new Nine West heels.

Wednesday: New blue tweed skirt, which I love. Last wearing for this blue silky ATF top, I think; even belting the waist with a wide brown woven belt didn't quite save it. Blue hose, brown FS boots, all good to go!

Thursday: my favorite outfit of the week. I didn't want to take it off when I got home! Dark grey cashmere blouse over a teal dotted bow silk BR top, new (smaller!) black pinstripe Gap pants. I loved the drape and the pattern mix so much I even took a picture of my hip and thigh. !!

Next job: cleaning off my mirror *g*, and getting my actual camera out for future shots. The iPhone camera doesn't really capture the colors well.

Agree, Thursday looks awesome!! I do love the blue tweed skirt on you with boots also. Structured tops look nice on you, those are my favorite as well. I will have to try the orange & gray together also - too fun!! You look great!

Wow Kristen, you look amazing! I like all of your outfits, but the one that is your favorite is my favorite too. You look truly gorgeous in it.

You look great in all the outfits. I really like the combo on Wednesday, I like the colors and the unexpected layering. Why is the blouse on its way out?

GG, the blue blouse has gotten much too big; it has a fitted band right where the belt is which used to sit perfectly at my waist. Now it's at my hips, and it drags the rest of the shirt down. I just bought a 3/4 sleeve purple shirt in a similar shape from ATF, and it fits much better. I'll wear it sometime next week so you can see the difference.

I'm glad everyone like the BR teal blouse; I paid full-price for it (no coupons or anything!) this fall/summer, and it killed me to do so. But it sold out immediately in the store, and I've gotten all kinds of great uses out of it, and it drapes absolutely perfectly, so...maybe it was worth $78.

I think I'm going to have lots of fun with the blue tweed skirt while I can!

I agree with all, wed and thurs are fabulous! They make you look so slim and stylish, and really accentuate the curves of your body!

What a stellar week Kristen! I really like your houndstooth skirt, not sure that particular cardie works 100% with it though for some reason. I love your blue silk blouse with the tweed skirt - hope your replacement blouse is equally as lovely!! The teal blouse is awesome as well, and looks great peeking over the top of the cardie!!

Wow. You look fabulous all week! I like the way you paired a pattern with a stripe. It’s out of the box. Teal is your colour for sure. Nice layering techniques and gorgeous long pearl necklace. I love you in a skirt. Wear more skirts and show off those shapely legs! It's a YLF order.

Thanks all! I'm enjoying mixing up all the textures and patterns I have, finding new combos that somehow work. Who knew getting dressed in the morning could be so much fun?
