After reading Tanya's rave review of her raspberry Tinley Road knit blazer, I decided to order the blue version that I've been stalking for a while. It arrived today-super fast shipping! Also apparently it was a lie that it was backordered until July. Not complaining though.

I really like the color, material, and shape, but I'm wondering if it is too big. I ordered one size up from normal because the reviews indicated that it might be narrow through the arms and shoulders, but I wish I had ordered both sizes now. The sleeves are too long but are fine if I scrunch or cuff. I scrunched one and left one long in the photos to show the length. Is the stance OK or too low?

What do you think? Keep, return, or exchange for a smaller size?

The color is so pretty on you! The sleeves are too long, but I like the fit otherwise. So I vote keep! Mine is XS - my usual size, and the sleeves are a tad tighter than I would prefer, but the body fit perfect, and I knew the bigger one would be too big.

What a gorgeous colour! Yes, sleeves are too long but that's an easy thing to deal with. Otherwise, I think the size looks pretty good - shoulder seams appear to be in the right spot. It's interesting how it looks like it fits well when it's done up, but looks a little large when you have it unbuttoned. I think you need Angie's eye on this one to be sure.

Is it supposed to have a bit of an 80s shoulder? In pic 3 it looks like the jacket goes past your shoulder some so that the sleeve then collapses in a little.

Shannon, I also think it looks a bit big when unbuttoned but I suspect if I wore it unbuttoned over pants it would be more of a boyfriend blazer vibe, which is good too. But I will wait for Angie's judgment!

Rae, yes, it has a puffed shoulder. There is a bit of shoulder pad too which is good for me. (If you recall, I had to add shoulder pads to my turquoise blazer to make it fit right). I know it is not everyone's cup of tea, but I love puffed sleeves.

I love the colour but I think even buttoned the fit Doesn't look quite right.

I would try the smaller size -- to me the back view looks too big on you, like it is slumping on the shoulder and bagging at the waist. Otherwise the colour looks wonderful!

Thanks, ladies. I think I am going to keep this one, as I think Angie is right and the smaller size would likely be too small in the shoulders. It's a little more of a boyfriend blazer vibe than I was initially hoping for but I really like it. The fabric is more substantial (and it is lined) than my turquoise blazer so I think it will also work for colder weather.

Ceit, I think the bunching at the waist is actually caused by the dress underneath, which is kind of sack-like and too big (it's just my at-home loungewear, don't worry, I didn't leave the house in it!).

PS - Just realized that this resembles my Laundry cobalt wool coat, which is the same color and has the same type of shoulder treatment. It's not a bad thing, since a blazer and a heavy wool coat do not serve the same purpose at all, but funny that I always choose the same styles/colors!

I think it looks great. You can keep scrunching the sleeves or take them up a little bit.

Yay! Glad you're keeping - it reminds me of your Nic & Zoe blazer that is getting such fab use.
