This is probably the largest size 2 I've ever seen. Definitely a different fit than the Bebe.

And while the front is lined in ribbed fabric, the back and sleeves are lined in 100% poly, so it wouldn't be work gear. Also, since the sleeves are fully lined, it totally eliminates the purpose of the sleeve ribbing, which is to keep a very slim arm fit.

But... I'm torn because it does look pretty cool in an oversized, Rick Owens-ish fit kind of way (RO in pic 6). For the price (and the cost of returns), maybe it's more worth it to have the poly lining taken out rather than returning?

It looks good on you, but it isn't like your Bebe, that is for sure. Is the cost of returning worth the hassle of relining, will this languish in your closet after?

It's kind of growing on me. Here are pics of my other leather jackets and other black jackets.

I NEVER wear my current black leather (#2) and only kept it because it was 50 cents. It looks more modern and better with skinnies than my other jackets. I probably would not reline, just have the poly removed from the sleeves, if I did anything.

I think I would pass and wait for the right one. It is nice, but I am not sure it is a 10. And you deserve a 10.

And frankly, all that poly, I am not sure you are going to be very happy with it after wearing it. Poly linings have been a deal breaker for you.

I agree -- a lot of leather, especially thin leather relies on the lining for shape and structure. If you are going to Frankenstein it, why not hold out for a 10 out of the box?

Hmm, it does look pretty cool and Rick Owens-esque. Does the poly lining in the sleeves bother you that much? Two of my leather jackets have cotton body lining and poly sleeve lining; I think it has something to do with getting a sleeker fit in the sleeve especially over other garments. I feel like breathability in the sleeve is less of a big deal than in the body.

Anyway, I suspect that if you took the lining out of the sleeves completely it would probably screw with the way the sleeves sit over other sleeves, especially since I'm guessing the underside of the leather is unfinished; so unless you only ever plan to wear it with sleeveless things underneath, I wouldn't do it.

It's pretty cool. I think Diana's probably right, though -- taking the lining out wouldn't be too good for the structure of the jacket. Leather being leather and all.

Let's all remember that this is a $65 jacket. Okay, not a 50 cent jacket...but new, and at $65. That's a pretty darned good price for a Rick Owens look.

I love the look on you - but how much is shipping back? And for $65 - that price = ??? it might be worth it to hang onto for that really cool drapey look.

I absolutely love it on you. I think it looks fresh, modern, hip, and very RO.

You'll have to decide if the poly is a deal-breaker or not.

What does return shipping cost?

I really like the look of it on you but I'm concerned about the poly lining for you. I know how much you hate it and I would be worried about how removing it would potentially cause the leather to stretch and lose its shape without the structure the lining provides.

Shannon said it. As someone who has a few black jackets (a couple of which are not what I truly wanted, but I was making do), I am convinced a black leather jacket is one of those items worth the PPP approach. There are so many of them out there.

Shipping would be like 15-20 i think gotta weigh it though. Angie what i didnt like about the allsaints was it was chocolate brown and had a banded bomber type waistband in back so I could not wear it closed

This jacket is my favourite of the bunch; I think it looks fantastic on you! Only you can decide if the lining is a deal-breaker, but I really like the looks of this one.

Ok, so at 2 lbs, shipping with insurance would be about $14. Already paid $13 for the shipping to me, so I'd be out $30 to return it to them.

Hm... I am leaning toward keeping it and seeing how much the lining bothers me. I can replace the sleeve lining myself for free using the acetate from the 50-cent jacket if it comes to that.

Reasoning is that I really do like the RO look but, after getting my olive Burberry, I think I'd want to wait another 10 years before plunking down for another big investment piece like that. Yes, there are always black leather jackets around - I liked the Soia & Kyo from NAS a lot on me, actually! - but even after my discount it would be over $300 plus tax.

Oh no. I joined that VIP thing and just got some bunch of junk from them which is apparently something like a credit card. Plus my box has shipped all around the US somehow, and I obviously ordered the wrong sizes.

But enough about me. I love this on you. LOVE! It's so Rick Owens and a great contrast to your fitted items - you can be secretly bodycon! But how poly is the lining? Stiff cheap or flowy enough to bear?

Is it bad that I suspect I like this more than either of my other leather jackets? When both of those cost around $200? I just feel like I could throw this on over anything and go, whereas I always plan around the others.

Very RO I have an unlined thin leather jacket in a similar style & I love it. I'd take the lining out if I were you.

Not bad at all Rae! That makes perfect sense to me - the others do require some thought to them, while this one just looks like an "oh I probably will need a jacket I'll just take this one along and there ya' go" - its a "no-brainer" type of jacket. That's the way I am hoping that I will be able to wear mine.

I like it a lot. A whole lot. The poly sleeves make it easier to wear a long sleeve underneath, if you choose to do so it makes it a whole lot easier.
