K/R Sleeveless Duster ETA: Returning

Are dusters "out"? Do I have sales blinders on? And does this look like a lab coat? I am not quite sure why I am getting a bit of a sag at the bottom, especially after I misted it. This is the softest linen I have ever tried and it keeps my neck warm. All opinions welcome.

ETA: I think this somehow feels sloppy on me, and I think the bottom puff is here to stay. I won't even say *Next!* because I already made another NAS order. Just gotta make my returns quickly.

Wow, white is a great color on you!

While I like the idea of a summer duster (for sun and wind) the execution on this one doesn't thrill me because the fabric is on the sheer side. You'd have to wear it over white, I think, for it to look neat.

It looks good on you but I always ask my self where am I going to wear it? Do I need it in my wardrobe etc.? It stopped me buying more coloured pants and a dress yesterday

Looks good, but I agree with your concerns about the hem - may be it is just heavier because it is double fabric. May be some spray starch. To my eye it does have very clean lines, which I like.

This looks better on you than on the model but it seems like it would have limited use. I'm not sure what it could be worn with.

It reads like a lab smock because of the white, BUT I'm really liking this look on you, especially when belted. Are you smitten with the white or could you see trying to find something similar in a different color? It goes with your funky, fun vibe.

I think the duster needs narrower bottoms than what I'm wearing here. I'm still on the fence, but at least I got rid of that weird poof at the bottom. I would wear this as a third piece over tanks tops (which inevitably leave me feeling chilly) and long sleeve Ts, but I think I need to experiment with various bottoms. As with everything I buy, this is washable so I'm not worried about Fear of White -- although I wouldn't wear it to an Obon Festival this weekend for Fear of Soy Sauce which can be a bear to remove.

So glad I finally got a smart phone so I can take pictures! My house is extremely dark and my Target mirror distorts a bit, but it's better than nothing.

I like this but agree that it looks a little spa-smock because of the color. I'd love to see it with skinny pants, that could make a huge difference but it might still have the spa look. I do think it looks really nice on you.

This still has the puff at the bottom, I think because they used fusible interfacing. Doing a K/R at means my gut is telling me to return this impulsive purchase.

Plus, after Angie's Finds this a.m., I made another NAS order due to FOMO.

I think you made the right decision to move on from this piece. I think it's hard when something checks off most but not all the boxes to decide upon returning it and to continue the search. It's the line between JFE and dud.
