I'm facing a dilemma about these jeans. They are A Gold E June Sailor Jean (a new brand to me; thanks Anne) that just arrived. They have a highish waist with front patch pockets, wide legs, and a released hem.

I wear jeans a lot. I dress them up and travel in them. I dress them down and live in them at home. I tend to like to try trendy cuts. I don't have a huge jeans collection and I tend to wear them for a long time when they work well. (I had to finally get rid of my AG Nikkis because I wore them right out of shape.)

Right now I have 10 pairs of jeans. Maybe that is a lot, I don't know. But they're well distributed across styles: 2 pairs of blue skinnies (diff cuts), 2 pairs of blue cropped flares (diff blues), 2 pairs of blue long flares (diff blues), 2 pairs of white (skinny and flare), 1 pair of blue bf, and 1 pair of black skinnies.

Are these wide-leg jeans good enough to add? Does comfort outweigh the length? Is the length okay? If they're not exactly right, they have to go back. I've purchased a lot and am near the end of my budget. Keep or return?

PROs: incredibly comfortable, different from my other jeans, trendy, fun, fit well
CONs: too long? stumpyfing? (although I am extremely fine with JFE)

Also, please weigh in on these gold loafer/sneakers. I need a walking/casual shoe and I saw these at the Bass outlet. Very inexpensive, very comfortable. I'll be in NYC on Saturday and they feel like a good thing to walk the city in. (Showing them here with the wide legs, cropped flares, and in closeup). But are they frumpy? Keep or return?

ETA: I have added a picture of the jeans from a store site, and it looks like they fit the way they are supposed to, but I think I am agreeing with all of you -- too long, too much jean.
