K/R Eileen Fisher, and more jeans

IK has said great things about Eileen Fisher, so I decided to try a skirt from her.

Skirt#1 - It stetches well,so easy to move in. A bit wide at the waist, but I run into that regularly. This would definately be on the high side for me on the high-low spectrum as I am normally an Ann Taylor and Talbots Shopper!

Jeans #1 - I cannot remember who recommended i try Jennifer Lopez jeans, but here they are. Soft and stretchy. A little on the thin side, but that is probablt the stretch facotr

Jeans #2 - Same as #1 but 1 size up

Jeans #3 - I ordered these in regular, and they sent petite. I think they do not meet PPL, but PPL is still an elusive and difficult thing for me.

Jeans#4 - Levis bootcut in a different wash from what I have

Jeans White - I think these are a no go. Not sure these are my white jeans, followed by not sure moms of toddlers have such a thing as their white jeans!

Honesty, please. If these don't work, NYDJ and JAG jeans from Nordies are the next ones I will try. Jeans are really tough for me. I know that, and will keep looking. I would like to add 2-3 new pairs to my capsule as my jeans capsule currently ahs a single lonely pair in it!

I feel your pain, I just happen to ignore pants about 80% of the time :). It's rare for me to wear pants!

I like the fit of the Levi's best, but I'm not sure you want all the pocket detail on the back. I quite like it, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.
I'm not keen on the EF skirt. It looks too clingy, especially in the side view. You'll find something way better than this.
I'd return the rest of the jeans - not fab enough for you.

I like the jeans in #3, I think the fit in the back is better than in #2. The one thing I'm not crazy about with these is some of the fading is right below the butt. That's just not my favorite place for fading, but you might not mind that. I like the Levi's bootcut, those are my favs out of what you are wearing. The white jeans look OK, but I think you could do better. The shirt in #1 looks fantastic!

My only problem with the white jeans was the contrast with the dark top. It really cut you in half. What do they look like with a low contrast top?

Jeans in pic #3 are GREAT! I like fading so the faded positioning does not bother me. Which brand are they? The Jennifer Lopez? I think they are long enough. What do you think?

I'd send the others back. NYDJs and Jag should be a good fit too. I'm excited to see them on.

I like the skirt, but don't think it's more special than what you have already - unless that isn't coming through in the photograph. Perhaps save your pennies.

Honestly, I like my Ann Taylor skirts better and they were half the price. Still learning to trust my eyes.

The jeans in the third pic (second pair of jeans posted) are Jennifer Lopez. They are soft and comfy, and long enough I think.

Thistle, try Eileen Fisher dresses. Not every style will work, of course, you'll have to play. Maybe the best bet is to try stuff on fillprice to find your size and then stalk things you like on eBay. They are much more reasonably priced there and because they wear well, I've had good luck.

I like the Levi's and the jeans in #5 aren't bad, either. I am not fond of the fading in the first pairs, either. I don't mind fading overall, but the distinct patches of fading I find distracting. The skirt doesn't compete with dresses you have already (although I realize they fill a different need), and probably isn't worth it. And the white jeans appear to be thick enough and not sheer in any way, which is a GREAT thing in white jeans/pants. I can never seem to find white jeans where the pockets don't stand out as whiter than the rest of the pants, so I rather like the pair you have here.

I don't think the skirt is keep worthy. I like the second jeans pic the best. They seem classic and comfortabls and fi well. The ones in pic 4 are too mom jeanish and the next ones have those tricky pockets. I like the idea of the white ones and I like them with the blue and leopard, but I think the fit is not quite right. WHite jeans are so tough!

I agree that the skirt in #1 seems ok, but for the price, should be more than ok. The jeans in #3 look great, as do the jeans in #5 (#4 looks a bit short to me). The white ones look fine. I have two boys and I know what you mean about white jeans with kids. But just remember that they're washable and bleachable, which takes care of almost anything that can happen to them.

I literally said out loud "oooohhhh I love those jeans" for #3. I think they look fab on you Thistle - and now I want to try a pair myself.

I have not read the other comments, but I do like the white jeans and my favorite because of the wash is #4, followed by #5. I don't love the back pockets and thigh distressing on #5, but the fit is good. Can you send back for the regular #4s? I agree they look short.

I think the fit of #3 (JLo 2) is fantastic but I don't care for the wash. If you like the fading, they are fab.
However NYDJ are fantastic (well, they solved my jeans issues anyway), so I think you should still try those!

I admire your persistence. It's inspired me to be more selective about some dresses I was trying and did not feel great in. Before I might have just kept them and not worn them much but felt bad about spending money. Anyway, I quite like the jeans in your pic no. 4. because of the dark wash.

I'm the one who wears the J Lo's. My bfs are hers, but, curiously, they have very little stretch! Different style and weight of denim, I imagine. I also have a pair of her dress pants, which have worn and laundered really nicely.

I like the second pair of J Lo's (#3) and the last pair of Levis. These look really nice. I also like the white, although these are a little short in the rise, I think. I know what you mean about white and toddlers. I felt the same way, but I'm on the prowl now that my kiddos are 11!

The pockets on the JLos are awesome! I like those verra verra much. Whatever size #3 is.

Finding the right jeans can be so hard, but you nailed it in #3. The pockets are just perfection!

I like everything on you except for the last two jeans. Actually the second to last jeans with the back pockets fit fine but I'm not crazy about the pocket placement. For the white jeans the fit is a little off.
