K/R - Wedding top

I have two weddings coming up and I plan on wearing my Tadashi taffeta skirt but I need tops. I found this one at Banana Republic the other day. I love the color and the buttons down the back. Not sure if the sleeves are too short for my old arms. This is a petite but is it still too long for this skirt?

It is a good color (incidentally, love the skirt and love the shoes - what are they?). Also your arms look fine to me.

I'm not usually a tucker, but I wonder if this blouse might work a little better to your eye that way? Depending on how the top of the skirt fits and with or without a belt.

I love the skirt, it is gorgeous. How high is the waist of the skirt? I would really like to see more of the skirt. Say tuck the top and and even add a slim (not skinny) dressy belt. I feel that buy wearing a top over the skirt like this you are not bringing out the best in the skirt.

I love your skirt and shoes, and I really like the top on you, too. The button detail is so pretty and looks in keeping with the slightly retro feel of the full skirt. I do think the top is a little long for the skirt. I can envision it perhaps an inch shorter for a little more boxy look--which would give more hint of a waist. Maybe you could find it in a petite size?
Your arms look lovely, too--no worries about the sleeve length.

This is fashion forward, Deb. Gorgeous ultra modern proportions. I vote do not tuck. You'll ruin the fluid lines that are to my eye, in harmony. The cap sleeves are borderline okay - more diagonally than cap - and they aren't tight. That's key. Thumbs up.

Any way you can add a dressier shoe?

Oh Angie, I am so glad you said not to tuck because I am not a tucker. I can find dressier shoes in my closet or purchase some.

Rabbit, the shoes are from Talbot's.

I like the colors but it seems to draw my eye downward. This could be a problem if you are short (you mention wearing a petite size). Maybe a statement necklace would draw the eye up? Along with a higher pair of shoes? Or maybe add a cropped jacket/sweater? Just ideas.

I like this outfit very much Deb, like Agie said, I think sleeves are OK, too. Then, could you stitch/pin/fashion tape the low hem of the shirt together (from underneath as to be not seen) for not allowing to open under the last button. Then, will look super polished from back, too!

Dressier shoes- maybe strappy with a little heel if you can manage in silver is what I vote. Bookend with a diamante/silver statement necklace : if you have a charlotte rouse or F21 near you: they are a great place to shop for inexpensive yet fab looking statement jewelry.

This is SO pretty on you, Deb! I love the cobalt with the skirt, which reads ink on my monitor. The shirt is very graceful and feminine. One fabulous outfit for weddings--check!
