K/R - the leather motos are here

Both leather motos have arrived, baby blue and taupe, and I love them both. I am posting them here as I am unsure of the fit. They are not styled, just thrown over a tee and jeans. Both fit well in the shoulders and arms - the blue one is a tiny bit long in the arms but it actually does not bother me at all as sleeves tend to be short on my very long arms. I am not sure about the fit in the body - OK or a bit too big? They are looser than my old motos, but then again the fit has changed. I would also wear them over more layers. such as sweaters as well. Neither are available in the next size down, so it is either keep these or return.

I vote blue because you have the blush moto which is close to the taupe. These are both such good colors for you! I like the looser fit too.

Just to clarify, I can keep both, it is only the matter of fit. I have a blush pleather moto vest, but not a normal blush jacket.

The blue looks a bit bigger to my eye. You said you will layer? If so, perfect!!

I would like to both be able to layer them over sweaters and wear them over thinner tees, like in the photos. I am happy to have them fit looser, just do not want them to be obviously too big.

Tanya -- I love both. The colors are terrific. I think the wee bit of extra roominess is a good thing if you plan on layering.

I like them both a lot! I think the blue might look just a wee bit big like this, but will be perfect with a thicker layer underneath. I would keep both.

Love both. Do the sleeves on the blue one feel too long? I bought a moto jacket, and didn't notice the sleeves were too long. I finally took it to be altered, because they drove me crazy, and I felt sloppy.

I prefer the fit of 3/4 on you. I am quite sensitive to a bulky sleeve though, so grain of salt. If you are OK with the extra sleeve width and length of the blue, then go for it. Torso fit looks perfect for both of them.

Thanks ladies! It seems that the taupe is fine while the blue looks a little big. While the blue is not available in size down, another very similar looking jacket is, so please comment freely. I would rather go through the hassle of returning it and getting a different jacket from UK than keeping something that does not fit well.

I like CocoLion's analysis and it might fit in to how you plan to use them.
The blue sleeves are not just longer, but wider. But, I have been finding that jackets with the least bit skinny sleeves do not layer over my sweaters well.
If both colors are versatile for your color palette, then you might be layering the blue more in cooler weather, and using the taupe with T's or light dresses and such. Because, even if you can keep 2, sometimes I have to think whether I only need to wear one; but if they fit slightly different top capsules and weather or indoor/outdoor needs, that can be very useful.
I would try them both on with lots of potential outfits, and all may become clear!

I would layer up & post more photos - there could be a big difference in the fit of the sleeves when you are wearing something bulkier underneath

Love them both. They'll definitely be good with layers underneath (ie sweaters). I know I generally prefer & get more use from a jacket which is not so fitted.

Also if you keep the blue one we can be jacket twins!!

These are both lovely but the blue is a more unique color (I often see taupe moto's but rarely a blue one) so I vote keep to the blue.

I agree that the blue is more unique while taupe motos are much more common. The fit on the blue is a little bit loose but not ill fitting at all so if you really have to choose between the two, I vote blue.

I really like the blue open, but closed it looks a bit too big. I like the taupe closed better than open. How's that for being indecisive? I agree, put on a sweater or layers underneath and let us see how they look.

Also, will you be more likely to wear it open or closed?

These are gorgeous on you, Tanya! I would try layering under both (the way you might wear them.) Also, consider turning the sleeves under on the blue one a tiny bit -- this is a simple alteration if there are no zips on the sleeve (and it seems there are not) -- so might be worth doing if it is perfect in every other way. I am tempted to say K to the Power of K but I will leave that to Angie!

Gorgeous jackets! I think the roomy fit is great for layering and wearing as an outdoor option. On your frame, I'm might go a little more fitted in an "inside only" jacket, if that makes sense. I'm guessing these will be indoor/outdoor, so you're good to go. Love the color of blue, particularly, but they're both fab.

If you can afford both then I say keep both. Both are yummy colors for you, with the taupe slightly yummier -- really, an awesome color on you. It's not just any taupe. It's YOUR taupe.

If you can only afford one I'd vote the taupe on basis of color alone. But if we are considering both, I'd say keep the blue too. The fit is just fine. Yes it's a bit looser but that is the modern look now, and personally I think the lighter a color is, the looser you can go. The fit of the blue looks better since it is looser. Not sure I'd like it as much in next size down. I am thinking here how white jeans look better sized up. I think same principle may be in play.

I prefer the fit of the taupe, but the colour of the light blue is just so yummy I can't stand it.

You need to layer properly too, Tanya. I think that will improve the fit on #1, and so will gaining back some weight. Killer options, my darling little sister. xo

Thanks so much ladies! Some great input here.

I have decided to definitely keep the taupe one. Everybody likes the fit, and while taupe jackets are common, it took me a couple of years to find the right shade in the right price range, so it stays.

The blue: I really want it to keep it as the color is very difficult to find, but I want it to fit well too. I do not mind shortening the sleeves at all. I will take more photos soon with different sweaters and repost for the final decision on that one.

Yup. Taupe is one of YOUR neutrals. It's money well spent in a classic like a moto.

I love the blue one and don't see any fit issues.

It's very hard to take self-pictures and show fit. I struggle with it myself.

Coming back to add a vote for NOT shortening the sleeves on the blue. I actually prefer my jacket sleeves to be this length both aesthetically and because it's warmer. I do think they look slightly too wide, but again that may not be an issue with a thicker long sleeve underneath,

New pictures will help see the fit better but from what I can tell I hope you keep them both!
