K/R - H&M denim jacket

Here's the jacket Zapotee recommended here http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ean-jacket (at least I think so), I bought it at H&M today.

The sleeves are too long, but I would shorten them if I decide to keep it. I'm not sure it isn't also a bit too big in the shoulders. I tried to size down and the shoulders were better, but then the sleeves were too tight.

Keep or return? What do you think? The price was 30€.

The fit is really good and you can always scrunch them. I like it and vote KEEP!

Hopefully Una gets a chance to see your post. She asked me for measurements but I could not find my measuring tape last night.

I purposely bought mine a tad tighter (a la Rae), since I have one that fits similarly to how the H&M is fitting you. However, I think this is a great fit for both skirts and pants, IMO. I vote keep!

It looks adorable! I thrifted one recently that I need to post for comparison. It's pretty similar in length from what I can tell.

You will get so much use out of this with your skirt collection.

Looking at it the closely. Although it might the way you are standing. The left shoulder seems more dropped than the right.

Anna, what an eye you have! I know I actually have one shoulder that sits slightly higher. When I've gotten sleeveless tops alterred, the tailor has to take one side up a little more so the front sits evenly.

Interested to see what Astrid says!

The jacket looks great on you! The shoulders certainly don't look too big in the pictures. I often have the same trouble though with coats and jackets: if I get a good fit elsewhere on the body, the shoulders tend to be just a tad too big. And really, it's not something that tends to be visible to others, so if the jacket feels comfortable, I vote keep!

I think the shoulder fit is good, actually. Doesn't seem too roomy to me, at least. Not finding the sleeves too overwhelming either. Shortened, they should be just perfect. Personally, I like a little room for layering under, you know?

Hoping Anna's keen eye is spotting a quirk of your posture or the way the jacket is sitting in that moment rather than an actual flaw in the garment, because otherwise looks like a very flattering and versatile keeper to me. You carry these moody dark colours so well!

Thanks Una! I agree, I really missed my other denim jacket that had become too small. I wore that one all the time, so I think this would become a wardrobe workhorse.

Anna, I see what you mean in the picture. I just tried it again and it looks alright in the mirror. Seems like it really was the way I was standing.

Thanks Manidipa! Good to hear the shoulders seem okay. You're right about the layering. I can layer a sweater under this one, but it wasn't possible with the smaller size.

Definitely keep the jacket! Having been through the slightly big shoulder thing recently I feel your indecision. I have just successfully washed and dried my white denim jacket in hot water, and YAY- perfect fit on the shoulders achieved. Too tight sleeves would be no good for comfort or scrunching. Good luck!

Thanks Claire! I tried a few on recently and many were a bit shorter in the back, seems like that's the way it is supposed they are supposed to look at the moment.

Thanks JennyAnne! And do that! Although that doesn't mean that the sleeves on this jacket are longer than normal, I always have to shorten the sleeves. I think I would need in fact a petite, only these aren't available here.

Astrid: Is it H&M or one of the other brands like LOGG or Divided? Any identifying features I should look out for?

Kirti, it's not LOGG or Divided. It has ampersand and jacket next to it on the tag. And the buttons are copper colored. It is in the washing machine right now, but I can take a picture of the tag later if you want.
