Knit jumpsuit vs. midi dress (Edited)

I can't even believe it but I tried this on and loved it. I'm debating on going back to purchase. Are these even on trend anymore?

Edit: The other option is just a knit midi dress from LE. (My Patagonia gave up the ghost last summer.) Do they look equally casual?

Cute! I have seen the cutest jumpsuits out this year. I think jumpsuits never go out of style but they always seem to be a "side" trend....(Not sure what the right word is here). I hope you get it...I would look great on you.

Thanks, Everyone! The brand was Young, Broke and something else--I think Shopbop carries the line. It would need shortening but I thought it would be fun for summer vacation. Something a little different than my usual knit dress. I'm going to sleep on it and then decide how I feel in the am.
@AJ: The fabric was rayon and spandex. Hand wash, lay flat to dry. The drape was really nice and pretty flattering--at least I think it was.

Oooohh, I think a vacation needs a flattering jumpsuit! Would you wear with heels or flats?

@AJ: That's one of the things I was wondering about since the whole PPL thing becomes more of an issue with this than a dress. A flat sandal would be more comfy but I have several wedge sandals that would likely work. I really liked it in the dressing room but perhaps it was those skinny mirrors at work again.

Lovely! I have a similar jumpsuit which awaits PPL alteration! It has an animal print bodice. The only issue I notice is that its a bit clingy. A bit hard on my love handles Mine is rayon though.

I have missed the forum lately but glad i could stop in this morning to see this. I like the jumpsuit for you i think it would be a fun switch up from your casual dresses. I am pretty certain modal is a member of the rayon family if fabrics mixed 50-50 or so with cotton i feel like it breathes and drapes so nicely. Thumbs up!

I think both styles are classic and defy trends, personally. I love the look of the jumpsuit but won't wear them because they break my rule of "nothing too complicated to take off when I want to use the restroom."

If you're okay with that factor, I say buy the jumpsuit. It will always look fashionable.

I prefer the jumpsuit, and I think you have the body and style to make is work beautifully, even in everyday life. I like the midi, but the jumpsuit seems more special.
